Nope ... don't want the committee to send these two after you.
Sorry ... didn’t intend to implicate PP in the Vampire ... so I put him in another Sabre.
Good news ... Piper would like to sponsor all the Piper's ... and pick-up any lodging fees (aircraft or other) for them along the route. We even get a hat! Lycoming will have AP’s on hand in YPJT to check things over for everyone in the event ... and Shell would like to top off everyone before departure and then again when we arrive in YSBK ... no stickers required!
You can add Piper into my ‘sponsors’ box TomP!
Pretty sure the bib number for the race was 115 (see below - other marks) but I sure can't tell from the picture.

The numbers and variety of aircraft (et al.) available to us has always amazed me and I am in aah and debt to all whom have ever taken on a development project.
I often tweak and fiddle with the files a bit (sometimes more) in attempt to meet the numbers but my skill sets are limited. I mentioned earlier that the Twin Comanche was one of them but that is not correct (perhaps a few minor tweaks) and my apologies to Don and his team (poor memory on my part).
I have several AI (flyable) machines (Henry Tomkiewicz and Dee Waldron’s name come to mind) and have always enjoyed them. Not the bells and whistles that we all like but they look great to me and somehow help expand the imagination.
Sometimes … less is more.
Looks great TomP ... one suggestion. As the boxes get filled-in thinking a sort given the 'Timing Mode' and or 'Route' might be nice ... certainly not required. Quick clarification ... are there two 'Timed Route' options or just the one?
I went back and checked the research you did on the original route and noted the 'nothin there' similarities to many of the flyover's. Sure glad that VOR near YCAG popped up. Thanks again defaid ...
Thanks PP ... yes ... nice to fly. No bells and whistles and few animations but I thought she was in keeping with one of VP2's primary goals 'to showcase aircraft and scenery of the legacy programs.' Has been in my hanger for many years and is the work of Don Moser ... his first aircraft according to the read_me (attached) ... and you'll find a few other familiar names there that helped him in the effort.

The 2024 Australia Aerial Rally Application (Short Form)
Name: taoftedal; Aircraft: 1966 PA-30 Twin Comanche B; Sponsors: TBD; Ramp Photo: Attached; Flight Plan: Free Flight (1976 B & H Route); Flight Simulator: MsFs 2004; Credits: Model: Don Moser (dm_tcom.zip); Paint: Factory
Remarks: Application submitted to Rally Committee for review and approval. Should the committee require any additional information, please let me know. I'm looking forward to leaving the stop watch and E-6B at home, joining all on the apron, and sharing the experience of the ‘land down under.’ The adventure awaits!
It’s sounding as if this event is really beginning to come together. What to fly falling into place, flight testing, tune-ups and paints near completion, waypoint airport upgrades, and some have already arrived in Perth! Looks like 11-13(?) possible entries and quite the variety of birds on the apron ... the fun has begun!
Still time but guess I better get moving … now … what is that engine start procedure again? Ctrl-?
Each of those paints look great to me ... well done both of you. That Bell of PP's is one good looking chopper ... and that Beech of jgf's ... (I'll say it again) drop dead gorgeous. Well done mates!
