  1. Yes, there is still stuff to get worked out. I know the commercial jets are not right. If you are a GA pilot however, this release is amazing. I can integrate my real world ForeFlight app with the sim to plot and practice VFR flights anywhere in the world. Not bad for $60. I have only flown the TBM 930 and it flies well on autopilot and follows flight plans to perfection when running simultaneously with ForeFlight. Check out my last 2 videos if you wish to see how the TBM flies on autopilot and how it handles under manual control. So for me, it is not a game but a flight simulator that can be adapted for real world training purposes. Continued improvements will come.
  2. As I am a real world pilot, integrating my flying apps with the simulator is always a priority. Just completed a full instructional video using ForeFlight for a flight from Nice to Courchevel, France. It is a long video but there are time stamps in the description for viewing relevant locations of the SID, RNAV and VFR portions. This RNAV/VFR flight can be viewed at
  3. This is a complete 40 minute flight flying the TBM 930 from Nice Côte d'Azur (LFMN) to Courchevel (LFLJ) in the French Alps. This 164nm flight follows an RNAV SID departure. We fly over the entire Provence-Côte d'Azur-Alpes region before following a VFR pattern into the Altiport. Multiple exterior camera views plus something new for this 4K video : Two short In Flight Entertainment segments!

  4. It is unfortunate to read about the unfavourable experiences. It is an over reaction to title a thread for this release as a scam. I wish everyone could appreciate the background technology that went into this release to make the entire world available (out of the box) and experience simulated flight (for the very first time) for $60 to generations of thousands of people on their home computer. This is Version 1.0. It will get better with updates and an evolving SDK. I have only flown the TBM 930 in the sim and the default flight characteristics are reasonable. Yes, the G3000 is pretty crude at this time. On the other hand, my real world aviation app - ForeFlight integrates seamlessly with the autopilot and the G3000 flight deck. As a GA pilot, the ability to explore any airport worldwide is a real treat for $60. Just imagine the release of study level aircraft for this sim (several months out) in combination with the detail of scenery that we are now experiencing - this is the flight sim technology of the future.
  5. The technology incorporated by MSFS is the future of flight simulators. Generic flight simulator websites should be all over this platform (as is flightsim.com) with the renewed world wide interest in the hobby. The positive aspects of the sim far out way the negative threads appearing on the various forums and websites. MSFS is clearly excelling based on sales and a thriving marketplace within the sim.
