  1. Okinawa is home of Orion Beer (made in Nago). Pairs well with a world class Reuben at Five Star Deli in Chatan City. Or if you want a traditional fare, you MUST have Okonomi-yaki.. "Oki" or "The Rock" to US Marines, this island is an absolute pearl. https://www.orionbeer.co.jp/en/ https://okinawa.stripes.com/food-drink/taste-of-okinawa-every-day-sandwich-day-at-five-star-deli-in-chatan.html https://www.totalokinawa.com/umanosuke-okonomiyaki-maehara/
  2. OK I'm impressed. I wanted one of these sooooo bad!
  3. Great pics, and so glad they kept a "real" cockpit with steam gauges. I have not flown the CH-47 in real, but I can speak to another tandem-rotor, the CH-46 (which was produced first). Having a longitudinal CG range between the two rotors, these are very very stable. Lifting into a hover, the nose lifts up first, then you have to apply slight fwd collective to lift the aft wheels off in a level attitude.
  4. The prime directive of simming. And whether the cartoon/comic book style is to one's personal liking or not, it sure is FUN! It has been fun since the first time I flew to Meiges Field in the '80s (64K of total RAM).
  5. Thanks this answered the question. Is there a link to this? I'll be quiet now,
  6. Again, sorry for not being clear; which Sim Model? Rory Kelly Rory Kelly with Bob Chicilo mods Virtavia Or some other model? Just don't remember ever seeing this specific paint, so was asking which sim model of the CH-46. I flew these for "real" for a dozen years and hold a BV-107 type rating and 2000 hours in type, so I'm quite familiar with whether it's a BV/KV-107, CH-46A, B, C, D, E, E-SRM, etc.
  7. Let me rephrase, which CH-46 model is this for? Thx
  8. Sirrus, having thought I had every available CH-46 in FSX, this paint scheme is a new one to me. Who's is it?
  9. Anything but the 505, IMO it will never replace the pure smooth aesthetics of the JetRanger series.
  10. “This just in: Club Chachapoya’s 2024 Great Australian Air Gaggle is officially over! It has now passed midnight in the UK, and since the last remaining racers were from there, we can now release the final results: “On the third step of the podium for the Eastern Route are the PhrogPhlyers with a -20. They win $6,250. On the second step is ViperPilot2, finishing on the 25th with a +2. He wins $12,500. And on the top step, winning the Eastern overall, is Melo965, finishing on the 23rd with a -2. He takes home $25,000, which added to his first-place winnings from the 1976 Australian Air Race gives him a total of $50,000 for the Gaggle. “Now for the Combined, winning the Silver is ViperPilot2, with a +3. He takes home $25,000 for second place – since there was no third-place finisher, the $10,000 prize for the Bronze is split evenly between the other two finishers. And the PhrogPhlyers take home the Gold with their perfect CV set on the 23rd, and $45,000. “The total winnings for the Gaggle, then, are: “The PhrogPhlyers in first place with $51,250. “Melo965 in second with $50,000. “ViperPilot2, the only team to earn podium finishes in all three events, in third with $43,750. “Bossspecops and JSMR share fourth place with $6,250 each. “And I am so proud to present the Spirit of the Race Award to Bossspecops!
  11. I so agree, however, it's driving me mad to not know every system in the aircraft, even if I won't use it.
  12. Currently dealing with this with the IL-18. I'm slowly translating the users manual (thank heaven for Google Translate) so that it will be in English with step by step direction to use the Cyrillic gauges and labeling. The fun never stops!
  13. So far, the AP switches do toggle, with lights or EFIS indications, but have not gotten them to control the AC. When I figure this out, I'll post it here.
  14. Lived in Mission Viejo and Irvine in the '80s. Had the dubious privilege of making a precautionary landing with a CH-46 on Newport Beach. Had a collective bind up, and wouldn't move, so landed and waited for maintenance to drive over. We had a mini heli-fest when the Orange County Sheriff's Hughes 300 landed next to us to see if he could help. Yup, rotor-heads unite!
  15. I see a few future repaints ideas! +1
  16. Thx. However, the link to AvSim in the initial post does work. Either way, its a good craft.
  17. I agree, even as a Bell lover, this is a good helicopter. https://spencetecuk.com/2017/03/27/the-hs-design-eurocopter-ec135-freeware/

This scenery is for Trieste Airport, Ronchi Dei Legionari, Italy. Many improvements to the airport were made based upon Google Earth © imagery and online information for LIPQ. These improvements include: • Showing the runway 09/27 parallel taxiway as the closed runway 09R/27L. There is no closed runway “X”, but rather the runway numbering was painted over. • Revamping/resizing paved ramp areas. • Adding additional parking spots on the main and general aviation ramps. • Adding a second fuel fueling trigger at the helipad next to the general aviation ramp. • Adding buildings, hangars, fire station, support equipment, parking lots and a multi-floor parking structure, train and bus stations, and landscaping. Links and instructions for required scenery object libraries are included in the readme. Trieste Airport LIPQ V1 240307 Trieste Airport LIPQ.zip Scene by PhrogPhlyer
  19. Which one? There are a few with 3k plus downloads. Thx.
  20. I just hope that the current mayor doesn't decide to do something crazy like, I don't know, have city bulldozers carve big X's into the runway in the middle of the night, because he promised his wife he'd close the airport and make a park named after her. And then say he saved the city court fees and also made the city safer post 9-11by removing an airport near the city center. That would never happen, stranding dozens of corporate jets and other aircraft. Only in the minds of fiction writers... right? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meigs_Field
  21. Absolutely amazing! Well done, Bravo Zulu.
  22. You will also find here in the FSX forums an active community of FSX users, as well as all the other versions of MSFS and other flight sims. Never hesitate to ask, we are more than happy to help guide you as you learn and have fun.
