  1. Yep - sky textures are good. The rest of the package - just okay
  2. You could try using an old program called CfgEdit. It's freeware and works pretty well on panel design. Mine works in windows 10 and I never have problems with editing panels.

  4. Tom is correct in his statement. New bmp and lots of tweaking. Can be done but.......
  5. In your aircraft.cfg file you'l find the [Views] section. It will have three sequences of numbers separated by comas. Looks like this [Views] eyepoint= -4.50, -0.85, 2.20 //(feet) longitudinal, lateral, vertical distance from reference datum The first set of numbers move the viewpoint forward and backward. The second set of numbers move the viewpoint from left to right (that's the one you want), and the third set of numbers move the viewpoint up and down.
  6. I don't think there are too many people on this site who would know who Henny Youngman was....
  7. Not everyone shares your same passion for Virtual Reality. And besides, we are dealing with Microsoft who will probably be a day late and a dollar short to the party!
  8. You may want to consider Plan G. It is freeware that is similar to FSNav. I used FSNav for years as well but find Plan G better in many ways. And did I mention that it's free!
  9. Look at your sensitivities and null zone on your joystick. Maybe need to adjust this.
  10. Glad you found it, whatever it was!
  11. Don that is strange! However, I had a similar experience when I had rudder pedals and a twist stick (Saitek X52). I had to disable the twist portion of my stick to correct the problem. That was okay for me because I would rather use the rudder pedals. Hope you find out what's going on. It can be frustrating!
  12. Thank You Hans! I thought it was just me but I'm glad you saw what was happening. During WWII there was a huge hangar there for Lighter than air ships (Zeppelins). That was really the only reason the I had downloaded it. But before I could see what was there, errors crashed my system. Maybe another scenery will appear that's not so buggy!
  13. I'm sorry Hans - I went back to find the file and the name that I gave you is wrong. It's KCAK_FS2004.zip and you can find it on this website. At my age, I sometimes mix up the R's with the A's. My vision isn't that good anymore. But somewhere in that file, there is something that creates a conflict on my machine and causes it to crash. Good Luck!
  14. Thank You Hans! I have actually done what you have said and it worked of course. However, in deleting the bgl file that caused the crash, it removed some really nice features from the scenery. Oh well, I can live without it.
  15. Typically when these crashes occur, it's due to scenery. At least it was with mine. There are some add-on sceneries that create conflicts. KCRK Akron was really buggy on my FS. Everytime I flew in that area my simulator crashed. When I deleted the scenery, everything ran smooth. I would suggest that you note where the crashes occur and look at your scenery for those areas.
  16. These are very good textures. I have this and all of the other files listed in the video and my FS2004 looks fantastic. Nice post!
  17. Outstanding Scenery! Very much appreciated!
  18. As soon as you turn on battery power, it crashes fs2004. Oh yeah, My settings are configured for US system....
  19. bam1220 - I downloaded the patch that you referenced: To help this, have a look at https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371 Download & run the 4GB patch This actually worked and made a nice improvement on my system when I run FS2004. Thanks for the tip!
  20. Tom, That worked perfect! They fly like a dream now. There's still some funky stuff going on that I attribute to the .MDL file (when you turn on NAV lights, the rotors start spinning and when you turn on beacon light, it hovers about 5ft off the ground) but not worth trying to go and correct. Like I said, it flys great now. Thank you for all of your help! I appreciate what you did for me!
  21. So I'm looking at the JYAI AH-1Z and the JYAI UH-1Y from MAIW. They work very well as AI helicopters in different sceneries. My question is can you convert these helicopters into flyable ones by replacing the aricraft.cfg file and the .air file? This would be used as a personal aircraft on my flight simulator and not put out there for distribution so I think there wouldn't be any legal issues....
