    I have the stream edition. In the past, I just ran msfs and it updated ok.

    When I did the last update it stopped about halfway through. After I restarted the sim, it finished the update. Today, it stopped after 19 meg. It kept trying to download the same file and failing. So I had to restart the sim again.

    Plus, they should let you play the game without updating. I just want to fly now! Why can't I update later?

    I connect to ip programs and don't get any studdering.

    The flight parameters display in external view is absurdly large, making screen shots useless. What bothers me about this, is you can't set a key to turn the heads up display off. You have to go into the settings. Isn't that stupid, for something you are gonna want to do all the time!

    I've had it since September, and never had any problems like this. Seems very strange, unless your files got corrupted with a bad hard drive or something. I guess you just have to do it, and hope it doesn't happen again.

    MSFS has so many problems, that it makes me feel better when someone has a lot more serious problems, than just the usual bugs/defects/dumb asobo decisions. I have steam too, and I hate it.

    I have the steam version. When I flew yesterday I got very high studdering, but no ctd.

    It's unfortunate that you have to mess with the weather to get realistic looking swells in the ocean. Another Asobo screw up.

    I have the steam edition. It installed and runs ok, but I'm not happy with steams customer service. I cant contact them. I wouldn't recommend anyone to get the steam version.

    Why does flightsim.com sometimes ask me if I want to open in Tapatalk app. No other web site does this. It's a pain.

    578 meg download seems awful large for one plane.

    I've been flying around the USA coast, and it looks so good sometimes I like to land and go swimming! Too bad it's only a simulator.

    I know msfs has only been out for 6 months, but remember all the great FREE planes for FSX? Asobo's choice of planes was rather homogeneous too! Many planes that are basically the same,

    I'm suprised too, that my gpu usage is the same at 40,000 feet, as at 2,000 feet. I'm using the xbox performance monitor. Maybe I should try a 3rd party one.

    It's my gpu that is 100%. My cpu is around 25%. I don't run live weather. I have no addon modules. I have cars on the road.

    I found that altitude doesn't effect gpu usage at all. Even when I was at 40,000 feet, and the scenery was like a still picture, gpu was still at 100%. Sim rate didn't effect it either.

    Yes, I would think using cache would eliminate internet caused lag. But my experience has been, that if you turn off internet, you don't get bing scenery, even with the area cached.
