  1. Hi Jim, Thanks for your help! I very nearly made the mistake of adjusting my dll.xml file (correct me if wrong there) so very glad that I didn't! You are entirely correct, you have to have the screens in 'arc' mode for the radar to work. Very happy to confirm that my radar on the 350i works as it should. I see that you are using the CJ2 there, I have this aircraft also, so will test it out next time I use it. Thanks again for your help! Kind regards
  2. Thanks Jim, very helpful. Interesting to see your dll.xml entry... Clearly the manual load is irrelevant to the fact that yours is working, due to the manual load 'false' entry?? Interesting what you say about it having to be in arc mode. I will try that in the next day or so for sure. I'm not so much concerned about having a WX radar but more for terrain. Does your terrain radar work as it should?? And thanks for clarifying re that post I mentioned... I nearly added in what I thought it instructed me to do! Hopefully you are right and that my radar will work in arc mode. Will post back in a day or so! Thanks again
  3. Indeed reached this conclusion from Google searches. Pretty sure I did this, however will try again. Also, any ideas with the gauges?? Best
  4. Yes I did for sure, followed the checklists entirely. Of note however it didn't happen when loading the aircraft from the default settings of the Mooney. Haven't noticed it before and have flown the S76 a few times. Something that annoys me about it though - detracts from the experience. Another thing is, the battery drains even when all the electrics are turned off. This means that you HAVE to use external power to start it. Any suggestions on how to fix this appreciated too. Again back to the gauges, I tired turning everything on and off again, battery on and off again, etc and the same thing applies, gauges remain as engine is running. Thanks
  5. Hi all, Recently used the latest Nemeth S76 and when I shut the aircraft down, the gauges continued as if the engine was still running. The rotor indicator went to zero, the sound stopped, and the blades stopped, but all the gauges continued as if the engines were still running. Is there any way to fix this? Thanks, Ralie25
  6. Hi all, The radar in the Carenado Proline isn't functioning on the King Air 350i that I have recently purchased. I searched the internet, found this article - https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/493223-wx-radar/ - I located the dll.xml and found that my one was missing the "manual load" part. I could be missing something, and you have to add that part, but it doesn't quite seem right. The only part linking to activation that I can see is the disabled-false-disabled entry. Anyway, let me know what the next move is. Thanks, Ralie25
  7. Hi there! Am curious as to why there aren't so many repaints available for the ND B407. That said, would anyone be so kind to paint it in an 'all white' scheme with rear tinted windows? Would be very much appreciated! Kind regards
  8. No worries! I'm a little spoilt these days, have only gone with payware aircraft - ha ha. I do remember the days of getting my helicopters from Hovercontrol however! Flew the MD's and AS350's off there regularly. Not to mention the 206 which was upgraded to DoDo status... Such a great site for sure! Definitely a shame that he closed it down. Obviously the time was right though, for him, and perhaps the site in general. Would've loved to have taken part in keeping it going however... I believe that Helisimmer is the closest we've got at the moment. Not bad I guess but Hovercontrol from what I recall was outstanding, a real community of helicopter enthusiasts! Anyway these things happen I suppose. Thanks for your comments! Best
  9. Hello Pat! Indeed the 407 in question is a payware model. It's pretty good IMO but indeed the issue with the starter seems to be the only real problem. I shall indeed accept that it is a flaw of the design which as mentioned I'm not too bothered about  I have realised that being a perfectionist with sim aircraft isn't really a good idea... :p Which Helo's did you manage to get from Hovercontrol? Still can't understand why they closed it off, was such a great site! Best
  10. Hi all, Grabbed the Nemeth Bell 407 recently. Great work by the team but one thing that is mildly frustrating (mildly as it does start eventually) is that when engaging the starter, after following the checklists, I hear the starter sound on repeat 3 times, then the engine starts. Had a look outside and there is smoke coming from the engine (disappears after aircraft is ready for takeoff). It doesn't bother me too much but for sure would be nice to not have to hear the starter track 3 times AND of course having a more complete start up simulation. Let me know your thoughts! Kind regards
  11. Indeed - ha ha - I will need to ask "where is that" for all of those things you mention above... I am very near, or may already have, accepted defeat on this topic. My S76 from Nemeth is the fine replacement of the 130. If there is anything more simple or obvious you or anyone else thinks of, please let me know. Will delete this post in a few days if no other suggestions as some may think I may not be willing to partake in fixing this problem. I am willing, unfortunately my tech knowledge is probably going to be the limitation here. Anyway thanks all that have contributed! Best
  12. In addition, is there any way to adjust the natural 'balance' in the hover? The aircraft wants to sit naturally too low (nose down) and the operator has to bring in aft cyclic to stabilize it.
  13. Indeed, I have added a 3rd party AP of which has the 'bobbling'. I'm sure someone else has had the problem with it so perhaps they have found a fix for the bobbling. Other than that the AP works great :) Well it would be awesome if it did have a throttle! I saw a review that said it didn't have one so after trying to find it I gave up... Although I recently read another review that said that it did have a throttle. I have tried on the throttle and through the keyboard to get the engine into throttle detent but haven't had any luck. If indeed there isn't a throttle, is it possible to create one? Thanks
  14. Where is that on the settings pages for P3D V4??
  15. Hi all, Have recently purchased the Alabeo R66 and am really enjoying it. However I would like to make 2 changes to it if possible. I'd like to be able to stop the 'bobbling' when the aircraft is on autopilot (I added a P3D helicopter autopilot to it). For example, the aircraft goes forward and back very quickly causing a 'bobble', for want of a better word. When looking at the aircraft from the outside on autopilot, the rotor disc is constantly moving forward and back, just wondering how we could solve that... Secondly, the aircraft doesn't have a working throttle, is there any way to add this to the aircraft? Any suggestions welcome! Best
  16. Hi all, As you may have seen, I'm having troubles with the Nemeth Designs EC130 in the rain. Unfortunately the aircraft is unusable in the rain as all of the VC windows go solid black. I've played around with numerous different P3D settings but still have the same problem. So, previously I wasn't willing to share my system information, I am now and really need your help to get the EC130 flying. It's too great of an aircraft not to fly... Nemeth haven't responded to any of my attempts at contact so really have no idea where to start for a fix! All help greatly received... Many thanks
  17. Ok guys, officially in need of your help! Nemeth hasn't come back to me at all (after FB message, email, and forum). If any of you know how to contact them, please let me know! Ok so you need the P3D.cfg, DLI.xml and EXE.xml, where do I find these? Also I can't imagine it has anything to do with my P3D settings as I've tried all of them in different settings. Any let me know what you need. Still getting the black windows in rain even after numerous reinstall attempts, really don't know how they released it in such a state! Anyway, solutions please! Let me know what other files you may need. Thanks
  18. Hi Vic, All good - still new to all of this really. The info you need sounds as though it's above my pay grade, I wouldn't have a clue as to how to adjust any of those files. Will settle for other aircraft for now and hope that ND gets back to me at some point. Many thanks to those that attempted to help! Best
  19. Update: Have just tried a whole bunch of different graphics settings and still have the same problem. Interestingly enough, when the sim is loading after changing settings, the VC windows are clear for about 2 seconds then go black again. I guess this says it is an obvious window+rain texture problem. Help please!!
  20. Won't send you all of them and don't really want to as I have finely tweaked all my settings to work the best as possible. I wonder though, would changing special effects have any impact? We can work around me not publishing my sim details. Let me know what you need apart from the obvious. Best
  21. Mallcott please tell me which setting is of interest and I'll post back. Thanks!
  22. Mr Zippy there is a black "winref" file which I think could be the problem. There are a few dds files that say glass which have only a blue thumbnail, perhaps corrupt? It is very frustrating, when I open the door on the aircraft, the simulated world is there, so obviously the sim is just missing a file for the windows when it rains. There isn't a definitive file that says 'windows' or anything like that, I wonder where I could find the file that the sim uses for the 'rain' version of the windows for the 130? I tried using a Cirrus glass file but still had the same result. I'd be surprised if Nemeth came back to me unfortunately. It clearly is a fault with their product though as I did a complete reinstall of the 130 and I had the same problem. More suggestions welcome!
  23. Thanks Mr Zippy! I’ve often found ND to not be very responsive with their replies but am hoping for the best this time. And indeed I thought this might be the case. Is there any logical fix you can think of? Perhaps the glass textures are corrupt in my install? Strange that it’s so black and white - rain not ok - no rain ok, haha. Anyway I’m sure there’s an easy fix somewhere. Would using glass textures from their As350 be of any use? Or any other aircraft? Obviously the sim just has nothing to use when there’s rain on the screen. I even tried enabling windshield effects and detailed rain but still had the same problem. Anyway as always, help please! Best
  24. Hello Mr Zippy, No the EC130 is a Nemeth Designs machine. I just can't believe that for whatever reason it doesn't like rain. In the 2d cockpit view all is ok, just the Virtual Cockpit view all I see is complete black, no view on the sim. Please let me know your thoughts! Also, is there a file in the textures folder that is for rain effects, or an alternate for a wet windscreen? Perhaps I am missing this and this is why the sim just loads a black screen. Let me know of any possible solutions! Best
  25. Hi all, Come to think of it, I don't think I've ever flown the 130 in rain. Today was the day due to bad weather where I was intending on travelling to. I loaded up the Nemeth 130 from the default Mooney, only to find the windows completely black. This hasn't happened before and only happens on the ND 130. I assume perhaps I'm missing a texture for when it rains on the VC windows? Anyway please come to me with suggestions! Kind regards
