  1. All good now thanks, have settled with other aircraft. Tried removing the GPS but had no affect. I'd say it's the model itself as it is quite detailed. A shame as they did a good job but just too many errors with it for me. We can mark this as closed now. Thanks again
  2. Hi all, Had the ND S76 for a while now but have only just noticed this problem occurring. At the start of a flight, in rain, and near the end of the flight, I get frame rate stuttering whilst using the aircraft. I have turned down all settings but still get the same result. This only happens in the ND S76. I have a pretty high end system now so it can't be that (to an extent) and especially as I don't have this problem with any other aircraft. How would one reduce the frame rate load? Could I remove some things? I'm not running it with the G500H or anything, just the standard ND P3D download, so hard to imagine where the demand for frames is coming from. Reply with ideas, please! Best
  3. Thanks Jorgen, will try both ideas (refund and other forums). To be fair I have had a few replies but it's intermittent and frustrating as a result as you really want to get the aircraft working... Do you have any ideas as to what might be going wrong?? Is there a way I can link the windshield rain textures from another aircraft to the EC130?? Ralie25
  4. Hi there... So, I've posted numerous times on this forum that my ND EC130 doesn't work in the rain - the glass in the VC goes solid black. Nemeth Designs has concluded that the Windshield Rain Textures haven't installed properly. So, can someone please guide me to what these files are called and their location? If I know what the offending files are then I can replace them with ones that work (for example on the ND AS350). Please, PLEASE, anyone with ideas come back to me via this forum or private message as I have been struggling with this for a few months now and it looks like ND aren't going to help. Many thanks! Ralie25
  5. Hi all, After some long and hard problem solving I have arrived at this point. Nemeth Designs has concluded that the windshield rain textures on their EC130 are faulty or not installing properly. I am posting here as I would like to know if anyone is able to find which files are the "windshield rain textures" for the ND EC130. My idea is, if we know which these files are, we could swap in the equivalent from the ND AS350 or similar. This is something we can work on once we know which are the ND EC130 windshield rain textures... Let me know of any ideas! Kind regards, Charles
  6. Hi all, Have noticed that the beacon light isn't working on the NXGN CJ4. The lights section in the aircraft CFG doesn't have any link to any sort of light other than cockpit lights. I'm wondering how we go about getting the beacon to work. Let me know where we start! Kind regards
  7. Interesting to hear! Guess I'll have to keep an eye out for the hills! :pilot::p
  8. Yes indeed, it would seem unexpected for the 550 to have a terrain radar. However, the Carenado one has an MFD which has a terrain ‘button’ on it. It also has a functioning weather radar, which you mentioned too. I am looking into the terrain function as I’m pretty sure that Carenado advertise that the 550 comes with it, and with the terrain button on the MFD, one would assume that would be where it is located. Does anyone else have the Carenado C550??
  9. Sounds good Graeme! And of course no problem jumping in my friend, more the merrier in my opinion! Do you work on the 350i? If so, in what capacity?
  10. Hi again all, So, the Carenado C550 is great, I've got the weather radar working, but the terrain radar just makes the terrain go green on the MFD. This 'green' doesn't change to any other colour to indicate terrain awareness - leading me to believe it isn't functioning correctly. I put the MFD on "arc" mode but still, all I see is just 'green'. Other terrain radars I've used go red when you're close to terrain and that type of thing. So, how do I get the terrain radar working? Thanks
  11. Indeed, the 'lower' ceiling is probably a Carenado thing... My TBM press. system gets overwhelmed with anything above 28000, come to think of it that might be the actual ceiling - ha ha. But still it struggles in the higher FL's and the "diff press" peaks near the red above FL250 if I recall correctly. And jeepers, yes, that is pretty slow IAS...I get about 215 out of the 350i - may have mentioned that before. I'm surprised though as the C90 is such a smaller machine, what vertical speed do you get in the climb with it? Personally I don't see room for the C90 because anything it can do, the PC12 can do, and I personally prefer that aircraft. But for those operating over water and just need a smaller aircraft, I see the appeal of the C90. Still a very nice aircraft, but too small for me. Personally I like Carenado, I'm not a systems hog and if I was I would have purchased the Milviz 350i, which is a great aircraft but I'm sure framerates suffer. Great that you've found interest again in the C90, perhaps if you do get sick of it, look into the PC12 or if you're not doing grass runways, the TBM or Meridian. Both are nice airplanes IMO but I personally prefer the TBM over the Meridian as it has a more 'modern' feel and look to it. If you were to upgrade to the 350i, perhaps look at the Milviz version, as the Carenado 350i won't give you much of an upgrade on the C90, apart from small performance and visual improvements. At least with the Milviz one, you're going to get a more systems 'heavy' machine. Anyway, sounds as though you've got it figured out, and perhaps try the C90 on some grass when you have a chance! Put it to the test ;)
  12. All good and all is well now thankfully - found a solution after a few hours... Thanks again for your input!
  13. Indeed it is! Hmm yes the 350i will go higher I believe (may have mentioned that in my other post). I think its ceiling is 35000 but am still thinking 28000. It is 6AM here - forgive me if I make some mistakes - ha ha. And yes, you are really pushing the C90 with those power settings! Pretty sure the 350i comes with performance charts, should be the same as the C90? If not, I found some power settings for the 350 online just by searching "Kingair power settings" - sounds simple but a lot came up - ha ha. BTW, you say the cabin alt selector, are you setting the pressurization as per cabin alt or aircraft alt? I get the feeling that perhaps you're setting cruise alt as cabin alt - you want that knob to be set to the cruising alt + 1000ft. Looking here - I found the energy to look online at 6AM - ha ha again - you should get 30000ft out of the C90 and 35000 out of the 350i. What is your indicated airspeed at that cruise power setting?? And be pleased you are just in the sim, I think perhaps you'd lose an engine or 2 at that power setting!! :p
  14. Hi Jim, Have indeed tried each of those steps, to no success unfortunately. I can, with joy however, say that I managed to get the aircraft working. I wasn’t quite getting the click point right which was the problem. Very glad it’s fixed! Thanks, Ralie25
  15. Thank you and understood. Just hoped that they'd specify that it wouldn't work in a later version of P3D. BUT I can understand, as the model was built well before P3D V4...
  16. Ok, thanks for your input Mallcott. Unsure about those first details, perhaps you could elaborate more. In regards your second post, where do I find those files? And if not deleted, is it normal for the warning lights to look slightly lit up?? Thanks
  17. Hello again all, So, the Carenado C550. I've followed all the procedures and have tried everything I can think of but, the aircraft still won't start. The reason for this, is because I get to the point where you have to bring in fuel by bringing the throttles out of the "off" detent and into "idle". I haven't had one successful time where I've been able to start the aircraft because I am unable to bring the throttles out of the "off" detent. I've tried loading the default Mooney, leaving everything running, or turning everything off, and have the same problem. It does, however, seem that if using the aircraft right away after loading it the aircraft will work, but if you leave it, the throttles won't move from the 'off' position. So, please, help me here and lets get this aircraft flying! Best
  18. Hello all, Now, forgive me if this aircraft is not for P3D V4.5 (my version). Anyway, the aircraft, even when loading the default Mooney, malfunctions. All the warning lights are on, and the artificial horizon is malfunctioning. I tried loading the aircraft first try without the default aircraft and the same thing happened. I have the aircraft set to 'ready to fly' in the manager app. I tried the 'cold and dark' setting with another aircraft and it had poor results, won't use that again. Please post any suggestions of how to get this to work! Kind regards P.S. it is the Milviz 530F PBR Edit: Ok so have now got the artificial horizon working as it should. It appears as though the warning lights are ok now too, although they are quite bright. Could anyone confirm that the warning lights on this machine are bright when they're off?? It may have something to do with my brightness settings on the sim. Apart from these 2 issues, it appears it is working as it should!
  19. I hear you both, but I totally disagree. Your point about - was the 130 released when P3D V4 was... - is invalid. The fact is, on their website, they say the 130 is usable in P3D V4. Unless we're all experienced flight sim users like you both, we will assume that when they say it is usable in P3D V4, we assume and expect it to be usable with ALL versions of P3D V4. I mean I don't even know what version of V4 I have, that's a VERY specific detail. As I am not like you both, an experience flight sim user, there needs to be a clearer indication that the product may not work with certain versions of P3D V4. I'm a Joe Bloggs of the flight sim world as I only returned recently after about 8 years away. If something says it works in P3D V4, me like a lot of other newbies, will assume ALL versions of P3D V4 - it literally is as simple as that. That aside, lets use common sense here, the average gamer isn't going to know the difference between each version of P3D and if it is said the product will work with V4, then they'll expect it to work with their version. I'm repeating myself here because I want to ram home the point. In addition, if we use common sense, there's no need to get frustrated with what I'm saying, I'm simply a user having problems with my product. Again - common sense - if the product is indeed not for P3D V4.5, then there should be a warning - at the risk of sounding like I am saying it is misleading - I personally think that it is. Anyway, there's no big deal about it, lets just try to find a solution. Can anyone like me to any form of way to contact the Nemeth Designs team?? Many thanks
  20. Well one would assume that it would be for the latest version of P3D. If it wasn't intended for my version, it should have stated that.
  21. Mallcott, short answer is yes, it is for P3D. It says it is ok for P3D V4, I purchased P3D about 3 months ago, I believe I have V4.5. Anyway, the product description says that it is for P3D V4, no mention of a specific version, so anyone purchasing, including myself, will assume it is for all P3D V4 versions. Please if anyone is unable to think of a solution, send me a way of contacting the team at Nemeth Designs. I have posted in their forum and have emailed them a few times without any response. Very frustrating! Thanks
  22. Thanks to both of you for your input. I was holding out hope when I read CRJ_simpilot's post as it sounded like a logical fix. Unfortunately, after following the readme instructions (you were right the Flight1 programme doesn't work for P3D), I still have the same problem. Did everything the readme told me to do, and the VC windows are still black in the EC130 in rain. Eberhardh, would your suggestion help even though the new textures didn't work?? Anyone else have any ideas as to why this problem is occurring?? Surely I can't be the only one to have had difficulty with it. Please keep the suggestions coming! Thanks
  23. Hello all, As you may have seen, I've been having problems with the Nemeth Ec130 in the rain. I've posted in the Nemeth forums, and have tried to contact them, and have had no response. So, could anyone suggest a way to contact the Nemeth team? Ultimately I believe I am entitled to a refund as the product is faulty - I can't use it because it won't fly in the rain. Second option; could someone put their absolute strength behind this and help me to fix the problem... The problem is, for those that don't know, is that when I fly the ND EC130 in the rain, I get a solid black windscreen in the VC. The aircraft is unflyable because I have no way of seeing the outside. So, any help appreciated, lets get this done! Best
  24. Ah ok then, well for sure it would've been good to avoid the thing, so pleased I didn't play around with that file. But anyway, doesn't matter now! Yes the C90 GTX...I have considered purchasing it, but like you, I see no reason to as I have the 350i. Interesting you ask is it faster...one of the reasons I considered the C90 was because I thought that it would have better performance than the 350i - being the smaller aircraft (and the fact that it just looks like a rocket). Have just had a look at the C90 GTX again and compared to the 350i I'd say that it's more of a competitor to the likes of the Meridian and TBM. The 350i is basically a turboprop business jet really. Personally I prefer the bigger size of the 350i compared to the C90, but I guess they both have pro's and con's. The CJ2 is nice also! I like it as it is a more of a 'classic' jet compared to the Premier 1A. In regards to the speed of the jets versus the slow GA plane, I personally like to mix it between the two. Rather than going 1000 miles in a biz jet, I might choose to do 250 miles in a GA piston. It's good to keep a mix IMHO because just flying biz jets can get a bit simple compared to the classic way you have to approach flying - say- a C207 Skywagon. Anyway, let me know what you think of the C90 in V4 perhaps and maybe what you don't like. Send through some performance figures and I'll have a look at the 350i next time I fly it and see if it's any better. From memory I get about 215 Kts out of the 350i in cruise at about 80% torque. It's ceiling is 35000 ft I believe but I've never been higher than around 24000. Overall though from the pics I've seen of the C90, it looks pretty much the same as the 350i. For me, this means the 350i is the better choice because what you can do in a C90 can be done in a TBM...the 350i can take that many more passengers, it doesn't become 'redundant' as such. If I had got the C90, it probably wouldn't have been used much because as I say, I'd just use the TBM. Anyway, thanks again for your help with the radar and do let me know if you want to discuss the 350i in more detail! Kind regards
