Hello, not to ruffle anybodys feathers but, since MSFS 2020 has rightfully taken over the
development of payware aircraft and FS9 and FSX is now out of favor with them,
can maybe they offer their aircraft at a discount.
It's better than letting them collect dust and there is still enough of
us out there using these older systems.
Happy Holidays to all.
Hello,
Can someone tell me how to adjust the FS9 Milton Shupe Loadstar
smoke effect. There is a huge ball of smoke that forms to the front of the
plane and in flight remains well ahead of the plane in flight.
Thank you
Take it easy, I didn't say AF Scrub's plane is at fault, I have lots of his planes. Just asking a simple question about that particular plane. Mr. Gibson responded civilly and I will try his suggestion.
Hello, I downloaded the FS9 AF Scrub Canadair CT-114 Tutor. It has a major gauge flickering
problem and I was wondering if anybody has a solution to fix this. I like the plane and the panel
is very cool but the flickering is making it hard to use. I put up with some flickering panels but this
plane is like being at a disco. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thank you,
Thanks guys, problem solved. I downloaded the base DC7 United plane and installed
the sound file from this to the American DC7F. Engines are now quiet on shutdown.
Hello, when I shutdown the CalClassic DC 7F engines I still hear the engines cranking
from inside of the cockpit. Outside the plane all is quiet and the engines are shutdown completely.
I have all the proper downloads from CalClassic and the sounds are fine except this one issue
when I shut her down.
Thank you,
Hello,
Don't miss out on Bill Lyons Globe Swift. Super sweet single prop known as the poor mans P51.
This plane is so well done and flies perfectly, give it a try.
I swapped out the sound using Aaron swindles Globe Swift soundpack. It's listed as
FSX but works in this plane. Also I downloaded J.L.Stubbs Swift panel and tweaked it a bit
to finish out the way I like it. All files are here at Flightsim.com.
Thank you Bill Lyons, great job on the 1946 Swift.
Hi all,
Mystery solved, I probably spent too much time looking for this panel but that is half the fun.
The file is on Avsim and it's called FS2004/FS2002 DC-7 Panel Version 6, Panel by Tom Gibson and Francois Ouellette 3/03.
Thanks Tom for replying. Your current Calclassic panels are the best. This one just caught my eye
as being well laid out and possibly could be used in other 4 prop birds.
Hi Tom,
I was just browsing files and came across this file that updates a bitmap
on one of your panels. I did go to your site but all your panels look different.
I thought it was a cool looking 4 prop panel and maybe you could recall if in fact it was
a panel you designed years ago.
Thank you,
Hello,
If you are in need for a good twin radial prop panel, check out the panel that comes with
Mike Stones Fairchild C119 Boxcar. Mike's panel can be a little lame but this one looks good and
is very functional.
Hello,
Looking for a sweet FS9 Citation X, then try these files.
Alejandro Rojas's Citation X
David Durst's Citation X Panel
Christoffer Petersen Citation Sound
Also try John Cillis's "Soft Effects" texture files.
Finally, TNW 2019 really does add depth to the scenery in FS9 and is worth trying.
Enjoy
I have always wondered if FS9 could be updated to a new scenery level. "A" for effort to Howard to even try
with this program. After I installed it I noticed there was some noticeable improvements to mountain terrain.
We all want MSFS 2020 textures from a 18 year old program but it is not feasible. I use FS9 and FSX and have accepted the level
of realism both these programs deliver and enjoy the experience they provide.
Hello,
I had to move my PC and when I connected it all back my joystick
is not being recognized by the PC. It is about 8 years old and was working fine.
I down loaded the latest software from Logitech but still it can't find it.
Do these thing just die or is there something I can do to bring it back to life.
Thank You.
Just wanted to express my gratitude to Tom Gibsons at CalClassic and the folks at
Historic Jet Group for providing such good downloads for free. These sites are my go to
files when I need a challenging flight experience. Currently Piloting the CalClassic DC7F
from Aukland to the Cook islands. So much fun.
Thanks again gentlemen.
