  1. Airplane, referring to your panel.cfg, you have "gauge=00=gauge=07.". This won't fly It must read whatever next gauge # only once ie: "gauge07= 737_800!Autopilot,5,5,350,70" PLUS the numbers after the gauge file has to have four descriptors : x pos, y pos, x size and y size. Yours only has two descriptors. I suggest correcting these glitches and then post back your results...Good luck.....
  2. Very well done and great looking panel. Any prospects of either the overhead and pedestal being added later? Super job on this rendition. Thank you very much ..tp
  3. Not meaning to be picky, but the first twin-engine Piper was, in fact, the Apache built in the early 1950's with 150 HP engines. The Aztec didn't come along until the early 1960's when the stream-lined styling and the addition of 250 HP engines made it a very popular, desirable airplane. tp
  4. John, I knew these parameters were there in panel.cfg, but I have never changed them. The view used to be fine. BUT, not arguing with what is/might be, I tried your suggestion and it works beautifully. The number "5" is a great starting point as well. Thank you for this idea. I tried your suggestion on two ac and the view popped up like it should be.. Much obliged.. Thank you...Many blue skies to you and yours.. Terry
  5. Something happened about a month ago that changed the default view through the windscreen on ALL ac loaded. The view is tilted downward and I have to Shift-Ctrl Q a couple of times to raise it back up. Whenever I change views from inside to outside, I have to reset the view with the S-C-Q routine again. I've been experimenting with different monitor resolutions and am settled on 1920 X 1080 in both the program and the monitor. I wouldn't think resolution would have anything to do with that. Anyone have any ideas what might cause this?? Thank you all for any and all ideas... Terry
  6. Airplane: If you are installing into FSX, FSX-SE, then MrZippy gave you the correct listing in his post #4. Just copy and post what he mentioned in post 4 above, with the exception of the window number, which might be different in your case. Change that to whatever number is appropriate for your installation. The one thing that's easy to get hung up on is.. the gauge is " gaugeXX=B737_800!autopilot, 561,330 for FSX, the one mentioned in the other posts, 737-400!Autopilot is for FS2004. Your FSX install may not have this gauge in the GAUGES FOLDER, whereas B737_800 is in FSX by default. It's very easy to overlook and confuse the two . This would explain why you have a black square and not the gauge itself. Please note that is an UNDERSCORE not a HYPHEN.. between the numbers... Good luck...tp
  7. Sapphire, I noticed you have a Nvidia graphics card. The same thing happened to me last Sunday. Worked in the morning, in the afternoon, FSX-SE would crash at load banner. Found out that the cause was the latest Nvidia video driver..471.11. I rolled it back to 466.77 and FSX loaded fine without issue. Nvidia's GFE had updated the latest graphics driver. For some reason, that toasted FSX starting routine. I didn't have to reinstall FSX, only revert the graphics driver. I even ran Steam's file integrity and it found nothing wrong.. Hope this helps.....good luck...tp
  8. Very well done. Excellent juxtaposition. MSFS is almost "As real as it gets"/ Good job, thank you...tp
  9. Bob, a very nice refresh on an old favorite. Moving the support bracket really improved the 2D visibility out of the windscreen. Thank you for many contributions to this hobby. Appreciate your time and hard work. tp
  10. This is an excellent addition to the Concorde line. The panel is very easy to read and has all of the functions one needs to faithfully pilot the Concorde. Thank you, Mr. Munro for an obvious labor of love. I appreciate your generosity and talents. Terry
  11. Brett, outstanding work. Thank you for this beautiful gift. You're very talented and patient...tp
  12. Just wanted to chime in, this is a very well done model. It brings back memories when these airships filled the skies. Excellent FDE and the textures are first rate. George, thank you for your gift.. it's superb.. Highly recommend this model.. Great fun.. low and slow...tp
  13. This is a very stable airplane, indeed. Mr. Scrub has done an excellent rendition of an old faithful "farm truck" of the aviation world. This is a solid representation of a favorite of a bygone time. Good job ! Thank you...tp
  14. Casey, not sure what link you're using but their download site is not the same as the "discussion" one. I always use this one to sign into and can post a question in any forum. You perhaps would use the Boeing one.. https://tonymadgehjg.proboards.com If you're registered, sign in is in the upper right hand corner..Super people there. I'm sure they will be able to help you sort that livery out.. Let us know how it worked out...blue skies...Terry
  15. Ron, I just wanted to thank you for a very excellent panel in the venerable Six. I used your submission to recreate a flight I took 35 years ago and it brought back many wonderful moments. Superb job..I also think the link to the 182 is more accurate than the Mooney. but it is not a default ac.....Good job....Thank you..
  16. Jorgen, Excellent information... thank you for sharing...Makes it so clear what many have been saying all along... Terry
  17. To Rick Piper a job well done. I just found this jewel and it's an excellent model. Mnay kudos to Tony and the other painters who make this plane sparkle. It's a little tempermental in FSX-A when starting. I have to reload a couple of times but once running, it's a grand experience. Very immersive in the reaction of the gauges. The left and right engine gauges aren't "chained" together. They act like real gauges.. I just need to find out how to correct the undercarriage being solid black.. Otherwise..an outstanding model...Thank you..
  18. Like many others here, I, too, have and use FS2004, CFS and FSX regularily. I've accumulated hundreds of addons that won't be available to MSFS for many, many years. I have enjoyed FSX since the beginning but unfortunately have never been able to run the program sliders "full right". I want to be able to do that. MSFS looks glamourous and in time the bugs will be taken care of and at that time I will take the leap then and try it. Until then, the absolute best reason for MSFS's existence is that it forces me to get a machine to run it and in so doing, I will be able to experience FSX in all of her intended glory: radial engines, helicopters, Concords, Orbx scenery, PMDG, FSLabs and A2A aircraft and all of the other wonderment I have missed. Thank you MSFS for lighting the fire...........Blue skies to all..........Terry
  19. Michael, Thank you for the update. I just noticed while on approach they are there. I landed and poof they pull a disappearing act on me. I noticed the lights turn off upon landing. What ever you do, don't turn on the deice switch while on short final. I read the xml and it tries to send two engines into AB, which the real one only had water injection. These two engines are both on left side..That's fun the first time it happens. I was landing at Boeing field in freezing rain...take a little precaution... oops..... Anyway... it's a fun airplane.. Thank you for sharing it with us....tp
  20. These are some nice updates for the classic medium bomber. I remember as a child I would watch the B-47s on long approach to Homestead AFB, Fl and the drogue chute was deployed. Very nice touches and keeps you on your toes during approach. Good job. I thought I had read in the readme about pilot textures... hmm. my cockpit is vacant.. the crew must still be in the snack bar.... This is a good plane to fly... Thank you for your efforts.... Terry
  21. Jorgen, glad you got back airborne.. Thank you very much for sharing this extremely rare situation. This might ought to be put into a sticky.. Great find....tp
  22. Just a note about the questions being asked about the differences in scenery and airports between FSX and the new Flightsimulator (MSFS). In addition to the Discovery Series that was mentioned earlier, YouTube is your friend. There are several postings of comparisons of same airports between the two and a couple include XP11. Interesting viewing.. Also, The Chinese equivalent to You Tube, Bilibili.com, also has more postings that one would suspect some Alpha testers obviously ignored the NDAs. Lots of interesting tidbits. Also noted that in the new FS FAQ, it stated that the basic and deluxe version can be upgraded, however, it will be more cost effective to buy the one with the features you want in the first place. For instance, (and these prices are for illustration only..not the actual upgrade price) if you buy the standard version for $60 you can upgrade to the premium content for $75. you've now spent $135 whereas you could have just bought the premium in the first place for $120. Also mentioned in the Microsoft posting, the disc version will be only available to European customers. Not sure if that's to do with download speeds in Europe or exactly why. All other locales will require the internet to download. Interesting times indeed.Seeing how closed Beta is supposed to start by the end of this month, Seems an awfully short time for Beta testing though unless perhaps on August 18th is the start of the open Beta and the RFM might be later in the year. Fair winds........and blue skies..Terry
  23. Chuck, thank you for an in-depth examination of the issues the OP mentioned. Your visual explanation was very good, easy to follow. I, for one, d/l this same aircraft and have the same values as your original BUT, I don't seem to have any issues that others have mentioned. I even filled the tanks and seats to the max no jumping around. The only issue I have is that I haven't been able to check each mag. They seem to be either both ON or both OFF. This is a good stable platform that takes me back some 40 years ago IRL. It's a very good representation of a flight school staple. Anyone on the fence, an excellent low and slow beginner airplane....Terry
  24. Bob, very nicely done. As I rather fly 2D panels, yours is very good. This is a fun addition and a delight to fly. thank you for your contribution and amendments.. Terry
  25. Bob, I wholeheartily second Steveh01's comment.. You've added some subtle, much appreciated touches to the panels and handling that make this airplane more enjoyable. It's not as squirrely on flare and touchdown as before and all of the necessary tools for a warbird cross country are handy. Thank you for the improvements........tp
