  1. Hi, Remember these? https://arstechnica.com/information-technology/2015/08/microsoft-accused-of-adding-spy-features-to-windows-7-8/ https://www.computerworld.com/article/2983633/microsoft-pushes-windows-10-upgrade-to-pcs-without-user-consent.html I have an old PIII with WinXP for my older stuff and for testing/editing FS9 aircraft/airports. For actual flying I use an i7 with Win7x64. I don't intend to move from FS9 and Win7 anytime soon. Too much time and work invested in addons (aircraft, WoAI packs, airports, me editing stuff). And I don't like all this always online stuff. No Steam or Uplay and certainly no Origin on my PCs... When I'm not online that network cable is pulled. So I buy GOG only now. If it means missing out, so be it. I have stacks of old boxed games, some of which not even unwrapped, left to play for the rest of my life. After MSFS has been out a while I'll check out to see what it actually does. I'm not really bothering with all the promo talk now. Regards, DDP.

    Runway take off

Hi, Here's a video explaining the propeller forces, which on a CW turning propeller make the aircraft (mostly) veer to the left. BTW, they can be turned on or off in the FS2004 realism settings. Regards, DDP.
  3. Hi, Great comeback... :D Way back, when the internet came to be, all of these online communities started popping up, some people were very lyrical about this new thing, this 'people helping people' everywhere. And then, bit by bit it's degraded into this: use Google, read the manual, etc. Anyway, You can also change the order in which FS will start filling parking spaces (depending on size of course) with ADE. Go to the List menu and select Parking. In that window you can drag the spaces in any order you like, and when you're done hit the Save button top right. Hope this helps as well. Regards, DDP.
  4. Hi, For AI to not use a runway for TO/landing, that box has to be ticked on both ends, thereby defeating the single direction operation. And yes, I've landed on RWY24 without any problems. RW, there are only charts for RWY06, BW020 is the MAPt for a RNAV circling approach. DDP.
  5. Hi Roger, So what exactly do you need to do again to get AI to behave like this? I'd like to try that with BGBW and BGSF, their runways operate in single direction due to high ground at one end. Regards, DDP.
  6. Hi, Another challenging approach to try is the RNP Z RWY 5 at LPMA (Madeira). Some 2NM from the runway you need to make a slow ~45 dregree right turn, near high terrain, usually with a fair amount of crosswinds. DDP.
  7. Hi Beroun, Try to set the wind speed higher, like 20kts or more, then change the time by 1 min. so the flight reloads and see if ATC now uses RWY26. With low wind speeds other factors could take precendence to determine runway use. Your RWY8 may be the primary end of the runway. RWY8 could have ILS approach code, while RWY26 hasn't. Regards, DDP.
  8. Hi, Simple answer for me... I'm not getting it, period. I'm on FS9 and staying there. I've put way too much time and effort in airport editing, setting up WOAI with more current flight plans, aircraft addons, etc., to throw all that away now. And if it isn't MSF 2.0, but an actual FS, it could just be flashier graphics with the same old "under the hood" stuff we've had since FS9. Like not being able to use different non parallel runways... DDP.
  9. Hi, I have both AS6.5 and ASE installed. I always download ASE historical .wx files for offline use. When I open one of those files in ASE, it creates a "current_wx_snapshot.txt" file, which is used by AS6.5 as well. And surprisingly the file in both ASE and AS6.5 get updated simultaneously. So I can still use ASE with recently downloaded weather. DDP.
  10. Hi, Make sure you run ASE (the others also?) as Admin, or it won't work. I've had that myself, after moving from WinXP to Win7. Regards, DDP.
  11. Hi, Great screenshots. Haven't flown to Finland yet, but I'll get there one day. DDP.
