  1. I have never done this. But looking around for an answer I found a video on YouTube where the guy goes into details of his collective build. Here is link:

    . Hope this helps.

    I myself use a USB 10 Key Pad and assign throttle to keys and it works good for helicopter flying. I also 'fly' race cars and it works good for that too. I have a joystick, but I wedged the throttle slider at '0' throttle position using calibration screen readout. Then assigned keys for F1, F2, F3 and F4. The keypad sits to left of keyboard and is operated with left hand. The right hand works the joystick (which sits to my right at arms length distance) with joy mounted on old speaker using screws. See pics.

  2. You take all the files in folder 'B' (64 files) and COPY (***but ** DO NOT ** OVERWRITE any files***) to folder 'A' (59 files). The files that are missing might just have a different file name? It helps to compare the FILE SIZE, etc by right click, and then choose Properties / Details.

  4. Before UAC (a security measure being used by WINDOWS 7 & 10) you could open aircraft.cfg, make changes, then just click 'SAVE' and you were done. NOTEPAD remembered WHERE the cfg came from even if you had 3 cfgs open.

    So with UAC any file(s) that is in the 'default' path (C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games) is PROTECTED so you are unable to do it like before. You can do workaround by copy to desktop, open with Notepad, make changes, then 'Save As' (or move) the aircraft.cfg to original location, clicking 'Yes' to overwrite. Not that much to it. But it's a Windows 'thing' and not a FltSim 'thing', just FYI. Good luck.

  5. For 'Plug-N-Play' (no 'driver' hassles) get a Microsoft Sidewinder Precision 2 (DO NOT get any 'Pro' or 'Force Feedback' stick). $25 to $39 on Ebay. It's made DIFFERENT than 'modern' joysticks with their (Chineese Manuf) faulty electronics, glitchy drivers, etc, etc. Not worth it. I brag about this stick and nobody listens. Somebody brags, brags, brags about some $199 joystick and everybody raves about it. Until it screws up and then you never hear from them again.

    I unplug mine every day to use USB port to load data and music files to USB Sticks. So it does not lose the button assignments, etc. I have used it everyday for 15 years and is still working perfect (and no hassles). Use my head.

  6. Sorry Dude, you are on the wrong forum. This General Support forum is (was?) for use by OK Daley and his race cars and race tracks. But it's been dead since Dec 2018. It's not for support of anything related to PC or Flight Sim hardware / software. FYI.

  7. Robin,

    I know they are not. Just wondered if he might just want 'a' boat. The 'wash_ferry' model that is for AI could be converted as Tom says. But it's a lot of work. I seem to remember that there WAS a 'driveable' (one for FS9 - might of been a mission?) Washington Ferry years ago. Will look for it in my external HDrive.

  8. There is the Liberty Ship by Phil Crowther, and views by Erwin Welker, for FS9 over at AvSim. There are fishing boats ('Kevlacat' is one) for FS9. Best to Google them to find out where they are. Good luck.

  9. I was at a Radar Site while in the Air Force (1960 to 64). And we got these '30 DAY WONDERS' ('entitled teens') that joined the Air Force so as to not be drafted and get shipped to Nam. They had no Basic Training, and NO electronic training, so they just sat around looking preatty. They were told: 'DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING' - just SIT over there. They were from 'the East coast'. They got drunk every night. Pitiful ('I want my Mommie' types) with no morals, no respect, no maners (did not chew but gobbled everything down) and all you would hear is 'Me Me Me'. One was overheard complaining: 'I might as well be down at the motor pool'. Guess where he go re-assigned to? Ha.

  10. If you look DEEP enough you will find that FS2004 did not teach M$ anything concerning handling (ie: Flight Dynamics). Screw the AI garbage. And you will also find that FSX did not each M$ anything cocerning handling (ie: Flight Dynamics). Screw the AI garbage. And you will more than likely find that FS2020 will not teach M$ anyting concerning handling (ie: Flight Dynamics). Screw the AI garbage. So who are the 'dummies' here?

  11. Find you FSX.cfg and see if you have this:

    [sOUND]

    AmbientUIMusicVolume=-6.000000

    SOUND_FADER1=1.000000

    SOUND_FADER2=0.500000

    SOUND_FADER3=0.500000

    SOUND_FADER4=0.500000

    AmbientUIMusic=FSX01

    SOUND=1 //

    SOUND_QUALITY=2

    SOUND_LOD=0

    UISound=0

    AmbientUI=0

    PrimaryDevice={DEF00000-9C6D-47ED-AAF1-4DDA8F2B5C03}

    VoiceDevice={DEF00002-9C6D-47ED-AAF1-4DDA8F2B5C03}

  12. In the sound folder there HAS to be a sound.cfg that will call the different *.wav files as needed. If you don't see one then that's the problem. If you see one, check to see if there might be a typo in it.

    You should tell us which airplane you have loaded and can't get sound from. To check if the FS/Sound files work, dial in 'Rain & Thunder & Lighting' in your weather and see if you hear thunder.

  13. If an airplane (1) has sound ALIASED to airplane (2) and you don't have airplane (2) then you won't get engine sound from airplane (1). Or is there no sound for all airplanes?

    Also: what Windows version? got Sound card? have external Amplified speakers? Win 10 recent update?

  14. Here are worl wide stats in pic form. It is bad. But because people are not listening to, or heeding, warnings. And only 90% or better Alchohol will kill the 'C' virus. Wipes with less are useless.

    Edit: Italy confirmed is '01,739' and it should be '101,739'. Sorry about typo.

  15. You joined just to ask this question? Trouble is this is NOT the 'FS2020' forum and more less the 'Air Manager Software' forum. Why don't you ask over at the Air Manager forums and come back in here and post what you find out. Just a suggestion. My opinion: YES it will more likely work. At 10 FPS! (Ha).
