that's why I have both computers set up at the moment. I can fly on my old one still while I try to get FSX back into the Alienware.

you got that right lol. I'm not going to take my Dell down again until I have the Alienware up and running with FSX. I want to fly on the new computer again.

ok so I finally have the Alienware reformatting again. so after getting it to the desktop and every thing I will try installing FSX the way I did on the Dell computer. I will get every thing cleaned up including the registry and getting all the windows updates and install the stuff I need for FSX before trying to install it and see if it works then. if not I know a computer that will be looking for a new home. cause I have the Dell and the Alienware set up side by side so I can fly on one and work on the other. im hoping it works if not I'm out 2,450 bucks :(

all respect taken. lol but I am thinking that there maybe something I am missing with the set up of FSX on the Alienware. so I went back to my old Dell. she maybe old but I got to fly. but any way FSX uses windows updates and a file called msxml parser. and Microsoft visual C++. well on the old computer I installed those and the latest graphic drivers Before installing FSX. and it worked. when I reformatted the new computer I didn't install those first. so I'm thinking that's what messed every thing up. cause when I first got the new computer I could fly on it.

ok so I talked to some one at Microsoft and they suggested getting all updates for the computer cause FSX is a Microsoft program. and they told me that the pictures not being in the background while this simulator is installing could be a bug or a glitch. so I am just wondering if there's something wrong with the first cd? cause they said if you continue installing with out the back ground pictures that the simulator it's self could be messed up. I been working on this for 2 days now and ain't got now where yet. :( it's not the computer it's the cd's I think. :(

oh ok so the background pictures it shows during installation has no bearing on weather FSX works right or not? then what are the back ground pictures it shows when installing? and also do system updates play a role? I don't remember?

in that picture sir it says insert disk 2 that's one I found on the internet to show you what I am talking about. it don't have any errors yet. but for some reason the background pictures you get when installing FSX don't show up it just shows the install progress with a black background.

I had to reformat my new computer due to an issue I caused. and I am trying to reinstall FSX. but when I do I get the removing applications. and then after a bit it goes to installing but it don't have the back ground pictures so I don't know if it's installing right. here is a picture I found showing what I am talking about. so why are these not showing up any more?

well aside from the fact that we got way off course here with what the topic should be :D I will try that program and see what happens. cause I tried this stick on 2 different pc's and got nothing:(

well I have most of what I need for FSX. the rest was just emails and internet favorites I had saved as well as pictures. I am getting some help with the rex stuff to. I even went and bought a usb hub that I can have more then what came with my pc's but to no avail she's dead

well by the sounds of it then I would be father ahead to buy another monitor and get the appropriate cables for the graphics card then huh?

well I have a 23inch for my desktop. but I was going to use the second monitor for plan-g and having weather radars and stuff like that on. but could I use my laptop for something like that?

here's the question I like the thought of having two monitors but can not afford to get a 2nd one right now. but can I use my laptop which has windows 8.1 with my desktop computer which has windows 7 as a second monitor? I think I need just a cable if that can be done. it would be same for another monitor to work on my graphics card. on a side note sorry I have not posted any thing for a while. have not been felling very flighty lately:( meaning I have not wanted to fly for a while.

sure thing man. i know some tips and tricks for a lot of things on flightsim 2004. you may have noticed there is no taxi light switch for the lear jet. i can help with that to.

thank you sir. i have a lot of time on flightsims. and i like to read about flying both real and virtual. thats how i know about flying like i do. and im self taught in working on my computers.
