  1. Hello All Re.Flusifix. I have a genuine English version .No need to keeping translating from the German. Unfortunately I haven't seen it available for many years now. If I thought it was kosher to do so and would not be breaking any legal rules AND I knew how to do it. I would consider uploading it. Flusifix is probably the best tweaker available for FS9 in the shere amount of tweaks it offers, and the ease with which they are applied, and removed if your not happy with the results. If of course you are a German speaker then your fine with either version. Got a feeling there was an Fsx version too (can't be certain though) Cheers Andy
  2. Thanks Alan. Will take your advice. The port I damaged was the rear one. I initially did tape it over to avoid any other further possible damage, then did the idiot thing of trying to carefully reinsurt my portable ssd ,which of course bent the pins of that particular port. I will re-tape it over. I was just wondering if by using a hub you might slow down slightly the speed of data transference ,and that's why you recommend giving FS9 peripherals a dedicated port ? I am not particularly tech savvy so if my question is completely nonsensical I apologize. PS I don't know if it would be possible, but It would be preferable if I could actually use surgery to amputate the remains of the broken port from the Motherboard ,just for the sake of tidyness and removing any possibility of short circuits.(after all dogs function quite normally on three legs after surgery to remove a damaged one :) ) but I won't be trying that procedure myself :) Cheers Andy
  3. Hello Zip nice to hear from you. That was a quick on the draw reply even buy your standards. I am happy to say all other ports functioning correctly. PS Are you any nearer to your new PC yet? Don't want you forgetting how to fly. Cheers Andy
  4. Thanks, Loki. Before you replied to my query I had already bought a set of Bluetooth speakers, fortunately, there is the option to connect to the PC directly via USB well. They worked trouble-free in my regular evening session. Thanks Andy
  5. Hello All I have managed to damage one of my USB ports whilst removing my SSD portable drive. When I pulled the SSD drive from the port it came away with some of the blue plastic internals from that port, perhaps rather foolishly I tried to reinsert (gently) the SSD drive minus the plastic bits but only succeeded in bending the pins of the port. Surprisingly that port no longer works and is damaged beyond repair I suspect My PC has been running for nearly two days now since the incident and seems to be fine. FS9 running well as ever with no problems. Is it safe to assume the computer is OK? (minus one broken port of course) Again as I type this message no problems with the PC I believe (but can't be sure )that it's difficult for even a qualified computer technician to replace broken ports, but if that's not the case I would consider taking it to my local repair shop(where I actually bought the PC from three years ago) I think the only other option other than repairing the port is to replace the whole motherboard, but would rather not go down that route as I will probably buy a new PC in the next year or two anyway. In summary, I have indulged in idiot behavior, and broken a USB port, but the pc is functioning just as it always has. Do you think I have got away with it this time? I await your expert views on this. PS I know this is not really an FS2004 query as such, but feel I will get more views here. Thanks Andy
  6. Hello Surprised no thought's on my post. I have sorted the issue though. Cheers Andy
  7. Hello All I am tempted to try replacing my current speaker setup with a Bluetooth alternative. The reason is to further reduce the mass of wires/cables snaking across my floor. It's unsightly and as I discovered recently a trip up hazard ( A certain amount of ale was also a factor as well :) ) I was wondering if any of you are using Bluetooth? Is it reliable ? does it cut out at times etc. I know internet speeds may have a factor here . Anyways aviators I await your views/experiences. If it cuts out stutters or stammers periodically I will not be interested. cheers Andy
  8. One final thing to try from me, and I don't know if it will work, but it's the sort of thing I would do in your position. You could try the Transat livery on another a310 were the doors etc DO open. Making sure that the models are the same type of course. I hope you are aufait with that procedure as its simply done ,but long winded to explain ....... For me anyway :) Andy
  9. Hello As I said in my previous post, rather than spending more money on a new joystick ,if you could borrow one or even better two or more from friends or family perhaps, and see if they perform correctly ,if they do then it points to an issue with yourThrustmaster, if not then it does begin to look like a PC problem of some sort. Cheers Andy
  10. Hello again. Just wondering if you could get hold of another joystick (any type)from a friend perhaps, just to see if it works correctly or not? If not then it points to some sort of pc hardware issue rather than the sticks being faulty. Cheers Andy
  11. Hello again. I downloaded this file....... FS2004 Air Transat Airbus A310-308, registration C-GLAT. Model by Harald Nehring and Frank Weiss. Repaint by Chris Takahashi. Unfortunately, Shift E did not work with this model. I will check to see if there are any other models. Andy
  12. Hello I have a number of the Nehring A310s, their passenger doors and cargo doors open with the usual Shift E (SHIFT E 1 TO 4) I will download the Transat model and see if Shift E etc works on that one. Cheers Andy
  13. Hello Col I to have a lot of weather themes that I downloaded either from here at Fscom or the other place ,not quite sure which.i I don't use them very often as the weather is predictable. I use the free weather generator FXreal weather instead and it does a pretty good job. I use the weather generated to set the correct runway for departure and move my aircraft to my destination airport to set the runway for landing dependent on wind direction there, then move the aircraft back to my departure point for takeoff . It works pretty well most of the time ie if I move my aircraft to the active runway ,that active runway is nearly always the correct one for the prevailing conditions. This being Flight Simulator though occasionally it will stubonly refuse and move me what seems to the wrong runway for the reported conditions. Hope that lot makes some sense :-) Andy
  14. Thanks Dirk It would seem to be the obvious choice really, but I do sometimes get flight conditions and airspeeds that would seem to indicate that wind could be coming FROM/TOO I.E arrow points North equals wind from the South TO the North. Thanks for clearing this up ,I will just think Church weather vane if I get confused again :) I will treat this as the final word. Thanks very much Andy PS Thanks Col I Think :)
  15. Hello All I have asked this question before, but can't remember the answer. I really must get this sorted definitively :) In aviation does the wind indicator point to where the wind is coming from (as a church weather vane would) or does point to where it's blowing to. I E if the indicator points to the north ,is wind coming from the north or blowing from the south TO the north. Thanks a lot Andy
  16. Hello As I said in an earlier reply, have you gone into assignments within the SIM and selected the option to reset to default? In another post in the FS 2004 forum a user seemed to be having similar issues to yourself, and he was also advised to reset his assignments which solved the problem for him. Are you familiar with the technique of resetting the assignments? Andy Here is a quote from that post I mentioned above.......... ''i installed the hotas software 1st and that did not solve the issues. however while i was adjusting the hotas assignments in the sim i fat fingered and hit the restore defaults and that did the trick all is good now. not sure what the issue was to begin with."
  17. Your right Bob. I have just checked at the Thrustmaster site, and for the Tflight hotas 4(The Ops model)you need to download the drivers necessary for correct functioning on a PC from there site. I hope Mekim doesn't go and buy another stick as it appears that all he needs are those drivers for the Tflight hotas 4. Cheers Andy
  18. Hello There The switch I was referring to is on the front of Hotas ( not the base as I said) switches aside, something else you could try is simply unplugging and replugging the stick and see if that helps. I have had problems myself with my Hotas occasionally performing erratically and a simple unplugging and replugging solved theproblem. One other thing I would try if it was me would be to reset my assignments to there default settings and see if that fixes it. If it does it's a very simple process to then customize them to your preference. If that doesn't work then I am stumped. PS I have had my Tflight Hotas X for at least Ten years . I use it with FS9 (even though from its name it appears to be for FSX use only) It has proved to be extremely reliable and rugged. For a joystick in its price range you get an awful lot for your money, a lovely big stick and likewise throttle (not some piddly little throttle control found on others in this price range. I hope you get it sorted out Cheers Andy
  19. Hello Has your joystick got a small switch on the base that allows it to be set for either PC/or Pstation use? If you have just check it hasn't been set to Pstation by mistake. If it has, that could explain the strange behaviour you are experiencing. I have the Thrustmaster Tflight X which is very similar in design to your stick and does have this toggle switch. Cheers Andy
  20. There is a program, a multi tweaker called Flusifix (freeware) There were versions for both fs2004 and Fsx. I have used the fs2004 version for many years now. One of its many tweaks does exactly what you require. With a simple mouse click you remove the need to hold down a key to keep viewing any side views( or forward , rear , etc ) from your aircraft until you want return to the default forward view . I am not sure where Flusifix is still available for download, but I am pretty sure it is. Someone here at Fscom may have the answer for you. Flusifix is a great tweaker both for fs2004 and Fsx .The majority of its fixes are selectable by simple click of a mouse,no specialist knowledge required. Cheers Andrew
  21. Hello All I have posted a lot recently on wild windspeed and direction changes I am experiencing using FSrealWXpro and also FSrealWXlite ( I believe this issue can occur with other weather programs as well) It seemed the only way to fix this was to obtain the paid for version of FSUIPC , well! not so now as FSUIPC the last ,final and FULL version for FS9 is now free , and with it comes the wind smoothing ,turbulence options (among many other settings change options as well) that I am eager to try. I have only just downloaded it and Iam waiting to use it tonight to see if it can at least reduce and hopefully remove the totally the crazy wind speed/direction problems I am experiencing. Anyway to sum it up. FSUIPC the last FULL version for fs9 is now free and available from Pete Dowsons web site. cheers Andy
  22. I have just been reviewing this old post. I notice that I did not even thank all of you who contributed to it. That was very rude of me. So thanks to all of you for your contributions. Cheers Andy
  23. Hello Again. I have solved the problem. I was looking in the wrong location. I was looking in the individual MT aircraft folders (within the main FS9 Aircraft folder itself) for these BAT files, but they were in fact in that main FS9 Aircraft folder (right at the bottom of that folder) I clicked on the unvis option there was a little flurry of a black screen thing ,and when I loaded FS9 to check if anything had occurred I am pleased to say it had, and my FS9 Aircraft selection screen is now happily devoid of the MYTraffic entries. Thank you all for your contributions. Andy PS Iam glad the vis and unvis were NOT in each individual MT aircraft folder ,as it would have taken a heck of a long time to wade through them all. :)
