  1. But in flight at 170 knots, I get a fuel warning about every 2 to 3 minutes. Whether I hit CNTL + X or not, the fuel quantities in the aircraft remain unchanged and are at adequate levels.

That's a message from FSX Flying Tips?

If so, just turn them OFF in Settings/Realism.

IMO they're not made for anything just a tiny bit out of standard/stock.

  2. He mentions: "Fmc honeywell". (And I think there is only a freeware honeywell.)

He didn't mention "freeware". I have the payware ISG gauges, which include a Honeywell.

    He also mentions: 737-800-NG.

Which for me stands for Next Generation or NextGen, a term introduced by Boeing, not PMDG.

Anyway, in the end when/if the OP reacts, we'll all learn that he tries to fly the PMDG 737NGX with it's genuine PMDG FMC, and he forgot to push the LNAV button .

  3. The freeware honeywell fmc only shows the flightplan from the fsx flightplanner menu. It is not for manually programming waypoints in flight.

For planning in flight you will have to use the fmc that comes with that pmdg 737 ng.

For what sake would anyone combine the freeware FMC and the PMDG 737NGX?

Neither products are mentioned by the OP btw...

    @OP: more info please...

  4. Finally have traffic, problem now is that even though set correctly in FSX settings the flying aircraft don't display. Red designators of type, etc, on the screen, just the strobes and navigation lights. Any suggestions? Thanks

Try unchecking “Aircraft cast ground shadows”.

Or leave it, and check at an airport for which you have no addon scenery installed.

  5. What I've learned from this thread: I will never ever again give remarks concerning "stock data", as my stock data has changed.

I regularly update my sim scenery database from the known Hervé Sors website, here are my findings:

    - in "my sim" (let's call it that for now) Sunshine Coast has been renamed to YBSU, and still has ATIS 119.80

(from 2010 on, that's historically correct)

    RBMAqtr.png

(pic from LittleNavMap, which reads the local FSX database)

    - in "my sim" Brisbane has no conflicting freqs on 119.80.

If you check current YBBN charts, you'll see these freqs are actually up-to-date.

    (pic from LittleNavMap as well)

    As said, just my thoughts...

Never would have noticed this otherwise. I never sim fly in Australia.

  6. I have another 1 for you

    ???

Another one for YOU imo ;).

As you've solved the previous one through Traffic Global (no details given), and the jammed freq is 119.80 again (I don't believe in coincidences) you'll be able to solve this one as well, me thinks.

I don't have Traffic Global and not planning to get it, but I did some reading.

If I was you, I'd have a closer look at C:\Users\xxxx\Documents\TrafficGlobal\AirportFacilities folder, to see what magic the developers are performing there.

  7. Sorry to contradict all other replies.

When I bought my SSD, I got depresssed by the eventuality of having to reinstall some/all my addons.

Moved the whole bunch to the SSD, then made a symbolic link to the original location on my D: drive.

Had to reinstall nada, everything works...

  8. Aerosoft papeete

    From the AeroSoft forums:

"Search for a file called TahitiX_AirTraffic.bgl on your system..."

No further indications on where to find it, but I guess you'll manage? Just rename it to *.bgl.bak

[EDIT]It's in \Scenery\World\scenery if my german doesn't fool me

  9. Is it possible in FSX to view Traffic like in FS9 when using the SDK Traffic Toolbar?

    Jive1 - Belgium

    Yes.

First prerequisite is a correct installation of the FSX SDK.

You need FSX Deluxe or Acceleration. Dunno about Steam.

    Installation is explained here

    https://www.fsdeveloper.com/wiki/index.php?title=SDK_Installation_(FSX)

Read the article a number of times before actually starting, then follow it TO THE LETTER.

  10. A couple years ago, Microsoft installed Windows 10 Pro on my computer over Windows XP Professional which I was using. They did this without my knowledge or without my permission when I was away from the computer a few hours.

An automatic upgrade from XP to W10 was never provided by Microsoft.

No idea why you're looking for excuses for running W10.

  11. 1:World of Ai

2:EHAM and LOWW are flytampa and EDDF is aerosoft

    3:No

Wow, except for Schiphol, that’s my setup as well.

Just one thought: some airport scenery installers give the option between “Static traffic” and “Airlines”.

Do you remember if you had that option and if so, did you choose “Airlines”?

Personally, I can’t remember it from my install...
