Yes and no.
After a successful compile all information can be reread from the bgl. But for WIP it’s wise to have the source files as well.
[Edit]Jorgen and I seem to disagree on this
The solution is pretty obvious: on yr 2nd pic, replace Flightplans_xxx with Flightplans_MyPlan (or whatever, just not xxx) and click “Saveâ€. The red #### marks should have gone after that.
OTOH you can’t expect us (on a non-specialist forum) to remember how an old version reacted. So upgrade as Jorgen suggested. Even on the specialist AIFP forum you won’t get away with it IMO.

I did some work on this a long time ago. A real nightmare.
Some findings before I gave up, I hope you'll have more success:
1) Setup the weather with headwind 24kts from the bow of the carrier, to simulate the carrier sailing into the wind.
2) Modifications in aircraft.cfg to enable STOL. Lower the empty weight, double the thrust :o.
Not the most subtle tweaking ever seen, I know. Maybe an FDE-wizzard can drop in.
[WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE] max_gross_weight = 20450.0 // (pounds) empty_weight = 5000.0 //11700.0 // (pounds) [jet_engine] thrust_scalar = 2.0 //1.0
I gave up on this because I was never able to make the AI land on the wires, and launch from the bow cats.
No matter how I made my AFCAD, only the longest runway was used.

Altitude being called out = Above Ground Level (local)
Altitude on instruments = Above Sea Level
The difference between the two is the airport's elevation.

Overspeed and stall warning is not GPWS. Could be just the default FSX sounds.

I have some observations:
- I don't see a reason for installing the Orbx libraries, since you own none of their products (AI Traffic for AUS doesn't count IMO).
- So I would install one of their demos, so FTX Central can put up their proper file structure. As you seem to be interested in Oz, their AU Tasmania Demo could be an option.
- FTX Central now works with a library insertion point. It's best set just above the default Cities.
But again, this MAY cause issues if you have none of their products installed?
Btw my FTX Central version is 3.3.something, not 4?

I have tried to install it to folders in various locations on the PC...
The installer doesn't auto-detect your FSX installation location.
You need to manuallly guide it to
\Simobjects\Airplanes. After doing that, no problems.

No flaps deployed, going way too fast.
Good landing considering the remarks above.

OK. Let’s finish this, as I finally did my homework.
Should have done this earlier on in this thread.
Learjet is not a P3D default flyable aircraft.
You copy/pasted it from yr FSX install, couldn’t get it to work.
From what I’ve read, you probably never will.
Bye,

Wim, Is that just music on the Free Flight screen or all sound in the Sim?
Yep, that thingy just disables "the noise you might hear with the Free Flight screen active".
Calling it music goes a bit too far for me.

In other words, that "interior=Lear45_interior" line is not there.
Adding it back in, and see what gives would be a good start imo?
Any idea how it got lost?
Wim

Because a thousand pictures say more than one word:

On the startup screen, click the “speaker†icon in the top right corner (next to the minimize and close icon).

As I understand your post, we are barking up the wrong tree in looking at the panel.cfg.
Yes, but no idea what tree to bark up to instead (no idea what I'm saying :o, is that some English proverb?).
In that same folder, does model.cfg exist? And does it look like this
[models] normal=lear45 interior=Lear45_Interior
Can't be the problem either imo, it should have raised other alarms. No preview, no outside view etc...
I'll have to bail out on this one.
Wim
-
In the
folder, then the [/i] subfolder, check if the Lear45_interior.mdl is still there. (based on FSX, I don't haved P3d, and after all this is the FSX forum)
Panel configs have no influence on the VC showing (except for gauges of course).
Don't follow that path if the VC isn't there at all.

Roger that! I tend to turn all that bitching Betty stuff off also. So what if I'm going 800 kts in a Cessna 172!! LOL!
Cheers

Really?
To me, this doesn’t rhyme with the fact that, according to yr sig up this thread, you’re a developer for realistic (payware) engine sound packages.
If you’re really the one your sig insinuates, you just lost some customer credibility imo.

One question: if you are trying to create an airport, then why don't you use Airport Design Editor?
Jorgen
Same answer as why Object Placement (see other thread) isn't working: "FSX Steam, no SDK".
Wim

To identify the problem, run it from a command prompt window.
This won’t fix anything, but you’ll be able to read a possible error message.
Wim

so you can for example fly for longer at dusk?
Fly west.

So am I.I'm just trying to figure out what is happening to my setup when I installed his dll.In your OP you’re like insinuating your default flight is set up with an Embraer E-190, not a default aircraft. A bad idea.
But it’s not clear to me if it is actually that way.
So can you either confirm or deny, please?
Wim
-
Have serious doubts you’ll find anything wrong with the DLL after all these years (RIP David).
How’s your default flight set up?

... and one case Turkmenstein...
According to official local government reports, there’s NO CRIME at all in Turkmenistan ;).
btw Most airlines go over Turkmenistan on the Europe-Thailand route. But I would land there...

First thing to check is if FSX actually reads your modded AFCAD.
You really should see the “Rebuilding scenery...†message after compiling to an active scenery folder with ADE. If not, something is wrong.
[EDIT]Did you check the Addon Scenery folder being activated in Scenery Library?
Wim
-
The compiled bgl now goes into the working folder, and I actually do not have to save my project, the bgl is all I need.
Bad idea, unless you never change/add landclass, airport backgrounds, flattens, exclusions, ...
Those are compiled into a separate _CVX.bgl file, which cannot be opened/edited.
The source ADE file should always be saved imo.
Wim
-
To be honest I never noticed the rebuilding scenery.
It did save those two files in the Addon Scenery/Scenery folder.
Col.
Have you checked the Addon Scenery folder being activated in yr Scenery Library?
Stupid question, I know, but it has happened before it wasn’t...

True, but Tom Ruth’s A330/A340 has them for sure.
