The wide monitor route is the way I went as well, at least I plan to order the AW3420DW. I looked at numerous 4K units, but found lots of things I didn’t like. Native gsync compatibility was important as well so it plays well with the gtx2080ti sli setup I will be using.

Currently it is only released for PC, so you are in luck there. X-Box coming at a future date not yet announced. As far as the VR goes, support for that is not on the day 1 release. It sounded as if they are committed to doing it, and I am sure they will, eventually. You don't have to play "on-line" but that is the core of where all the graphics come into play, so try it and maybe you will like it!

I think there will be heartache for those who do not have adequate internet speed. I'm taking no chances. Having 200 meg service installing sometime this afternoon to replace my miserably slow 25 meg connection. I have finally arrived at an Alienware 34" Curved Gaming Monitor - AW3420DW to go with those 2080ti cards. This is hopefully going to be epic!

I think quite possibly we should be able to turn the settings up a bit...

Good point and I think we are in the same position.. we don’t know! I love the fact that forward thinking people are looking at it this way as well.

I am carefully watching for release of rtx30xx as well as “Big Navi”.

So funny enough, everything I am Planning, ram wise is going to be 64, 3200 MHz. The sim is only going to get bigger, have desirable addons via third party etc.

Sounds good. These threads seem to have evolved into a binary choice, you like vr or you don’t and each side has subjective reasons why they feel the way they do. Here are the facts: -Microsoft will not be launching the simulator with vr capability -Microsoft has not formally stated that Vr will be supported at any point in the future -There is not a sub-forum here for vr, or any other features that do not exist at this time for that matter. -There are suitable communication boards where those, who are so inclined, can contribute feedback, just not here, not now. After the release of the new sim, these threads will pass to the bottom, just like all the others that came before it, and that I assure you is fact.

Zero interest in VR, seems gimmicky. Good for kids that want to catch Pokémon (Pokémen?) in their moms basement instead of looking for a job.

I didn’t read it, but I think it may also cause users to develop multiple personalities on posting forums!
