    You probably have already done this, but if not, check your settings. It almost sounds like a double setting when you click on the chase plane view, the autopilot disengages. Question-if you use the keyboard to go into chase plane view, does it disengage?? (think the default is the "Insert" key)

    HI Tim, you are correct. Here is my screen. Not sure how to fix it not willing to reload MSFS, it works for other AC (3rd party) just not the C172 Classic. Which I have uninstalled and reinstalled.

    Well, I loaded up the Just Flight PA-28 with the GNS 530 and the distance to next waypoint does show up. So, I am guessing it is a problem with the C172. Any thoughts on a fix? I am not looking to reinstall MSFS Edit-I decided to delete the C172, reload it. No change

    I feel that is the solution that was offered to me as well, and I have not had any problems with it since.

    This is true, however I could not find a 3rd party seller of the C172 WITH steam gauges. That is the ONLY reason I upgraded.

    Just tried it, still not showing the distance to the next waypoint. Wonder if it is because I am checking while on the ground? Would not think that would matter though, distance is distance even at sea level or 2,000 agl

    Something interesting to add, it appears I have an older version of the Working Title GNS430/530, which I am not sure how to delete. Not sure if this is causing my problem, but I would like to delete the older version (yes, I am going to install the newer one, lol) See attached image.

    I would check to see if your ingame/insim settings have been changed. Also, anything in the Community folder? Have you done a reboot?

    I am flying the stock C172 Steam version, and am loving it. Prior to the update, I was able to see on my GPS how far I was from the waypoint (included a screenshot). Now, it is gone. Thought it might be the GNC 530 mod providing it (not sure??) If not, I would like it have it back, yes, I know I can click on FPL and get the same information however, it is a bit harder to view.

    I remember playing older games (back in my ahem, youth, rofl) and there were 3rd party add on's as well (enhanced the game). After each upgrade, the base mod would break, the developer of the mod wrote that it was due to referenced memory locations for items that the mod was referencing in the game were moved, thus breaking the base mod. Perhaps this is what is happening here?? Sometimes it is a roll of the proverbial dice as to seeing if it works or not.

    Lol, there's no option for all 3 Yeah, I was stupid. I bought Standard when it first came out thinking I could "upgrade" later on down the line (at a reduced rate), pfft, WRONG!!! So a year or so later, the boss "let " me buy the Premium version, which also included the Deluxe version. The price difference between the two upgrade version was not that much, so I went for it. Least I got my C172 with Steam gauges

    The problem with the throttle is something that happened to me as well, no matter which plane I would fly. Unfortunately, I don't remember the fix, but a search on this forum should find the fix. As for the flaps, same thing, 1 notch upon take off. Sigh To me though, still better then FSX

    I personally have not had any problems, however, it is not unusual after an update. It is a pain to be sure

    SOLVED!!!! Couple of things-(1) I had to redownload the update in the Content Manager, (2) I found out that while on approach, switch to VLOC, then the Approach button becomes operational (perhaps this was always suppose to work like this??, no sure, but ) I took a flight from KJFK to KEWR and my C172 landed while I watched the scenery. Very nice!!

    Has anyone had any problems making an ILS landing using the stock C172 since the last update? Prior to the update, I have made dozens of ILS landings using this plane. It actually has a nice interface for selecting your cruising altitude, v/s is easily set, buttons for heading, nav, approach (one of my favorites), I use to be able to line up on the runway, click on the approach button, and while controlling the throttle, the AC would follow the GS and land. Now that button no longer works (still there), but does not work. Thoughts??

    Yep, each and every time. As another poster wrote, it happens I also had to change how the winds affect my landings (someone posted it a year or so back, it's saved to my desktop), and the Filters need to be changed each time as well. Sigh

    I too am a glasses user and I use mine with the Reverb all the time, I have found that I just have to be carefull when putting the headset on and taking it off. Yes, it was a touch expensive (something the wife mentions from time to time, lol), but the experience while using them is awesome!!!!

    If I remember correctly there might be some mods for the G1000 (could be mistaken though, coffee is still working on me, lol)

    I use the HP Reverb and I LOVE IT!!!! Can't speak as to the others, only bought/used the HP

    I have not checked, but there is probably a mod over at flightsim.to which can do this.
