    Yes, the world is not a perfect place. 99.9% of users don't have this happen, but a few others have had it happen.

    Are you even sure that plane is for MSFS? Seems strange that anything for MSFS would require DX9 to be installed.

    At some point you will see that many settings are saved on cloud and not permanently changed after an update.

    Upgrading Windows should not have changed anything. Did you do a clean uninstall of MSFS? Don't believe everything you read on the internet! MSFS runs and updates just fine for most people, especially when they learn that most of their settings are saved on the cloud available to MSFS.

    Rename your fs9.cfg file and let FS build a fresh file. Then see what happens.

    What is so wrong with getting 50 FPS?

    Set up the flight you want as default. Go and save your flight. Check the box that says Make Default Flight, before saving.

    To have the taxi line show up, DX10 Preview must be Off unless you are using a DX Fixer. Then to turn PT on or off you use the ATC screen.

    You need Live Weather turned on, on the General Options/Data screen.
