Looks like this latest update fixed the issue. I turned off “show white dot” in Settings>General>Accessibility and all’s well so far.
FINALLY!

This occurs both with DX11 and DX12.
Also other axis than rudder can cause this.
Explain?

When I see this, I need to wigle my rudder pedals to make it go away.
Seems to relate to control axis inputs.
I don't have rudder pedals myself, so that's not it.

Thanks for replying. I wish it was only while using the brakes. What fix it for you?
I have not been able to use the "official" drivers for the X52 and have to use the default driver provided by Windows 11.
So far, just reverting back to DX11 fixed it. (knock on wood)

Update: DX11 vs DX12 ==> no difference; Window mode vs Full screen mode ==> no difference (mouse pointer still flickers unless I unplug the joystick!)
One question KingNorris; are you by any chance using a Saitek X52 joystick?
Yes, as a matter of fact I am. The flickering is now happening when I use the brakes (the trigger)
-
Yes I saw that. So far, I disabled DX12 and went back to DX11. My current flight in progress; no flickers yet.
-
Anyone else have this issue after the last update? My mouse cursor flickers so bad, makes flight almost impossible. I can't click on certain knobs and dials. Googling didn't help much.

When I use the cockpit in MSFS the pointer make vibrations, "tremble",. How can I get normal pointer?
Greetings for answere.

It's a bug. We have to wait until Asobo fixes it.

Still haven't fixed the flickering cursor issue. Was seemingly worse today. Wouldn't go away; had a very difficult time flying the FBW A320.

@budreiser - I just did a flight (IFR filed) in the CJ4 from Atlanta (KPDK) to Vail CO (KEGE). No discontinuity gap issues in waypoints other than the ones I cleaned up in the FMS as previously described. What shows up in the flight computer flight plan (legs) with the waypoints? There's got to be a reason for the broken flight plans.
On another topic, I broke my own rule and updated my Nvidia driver to the latest from running the same one since May 2022. No issues - no performance gain, no drop either. However, I have noticed my RTX 3080 Ti is running about 2C cooler under load in the sim since the upgrade for whatever reason. I upgraded through the GeForce Experience app with a clean wipe out and install FYI.That’s good to know. (The driver quote)
-
Might be mind games, but by using my x52 mouse control to look around instead of the actual mouse, it seemed to stop the flickering cursor.
had a successful flight yesterday.
-
That’s a mess, budreiser.
We can only hope Asobo is working on a patch/upgrade as we speak to fix these issues.
-
I take back what I said above. Worst flight ever. Started with the mouse pointer flickering so bad, I couldn't operate many switches and buttons. THEN, my autopilot just clicked off by itself and wouldn't re-engage AT ALL. (Flying the FBW A320).
Ok, I'll just hand fly into my approach. WRONG!!! The plane went into a sudden barrel roll and wouldn't recover. Had to quit the flight but I'm sure it'll be a new episode of Air Crash Investigation.
This update screwed up my simulator. First time that's ever happened.
Come on Asobo, get your $hit together!!

I installed it and am currently flying the Longitude on a 2hr hop. Full description here:

It did fuss at me for having an older Nvidia driver version and warning some things may not work, but so far no issues in case anyone sees that running older drivers (I'm one who is a believer in if it's not broken, do not fix it!). Oh and we still have to deal with that minor annoyance switch back to windowed mode after every update. No issues here either, and I also didn't upgrade my drivers. Seemingly every time I do, I get the dreaded "graphics card error low memory" crash.

This happened to me today, just after updating Nvidia drivers to 532.03 through GeForce Experience.
I had thought the system wouldn't let me revert to an older driver so easily, but the solution suggested above worked like a charm. Thanks Tiger!!
Now I only wonder if I should stay with 531.29 forever, ignoring all future upadate warnings from GeForce Experience (?)
I'm sticking with what works as well. Took me awhile to find the procedure to roll back, and once I did, MSFS has been working great. No need to keep updating drivers at the moment.

Should you ever want to use those old CD-ROMS, there are USB CD-ROM drives available, very cheap like around $10 or so.
Good to know! Thank you!

I know buying MSFS can be a bit scary at first. It is such a different process from what we've been used to for many years, but it is worth it, believe me. Specially if you're comparing it to FS9 (you're not even speaking of FSX!!). And of course, forget about buying DVDs. It's much smoother loading it on-line, and you'll be updating it very often, so the DVDs will be outdated since minute zero. Such frequent updating is absolutely necessary in MSFS, since it is played on-line, which requires everybody to use the same version. Since you play it on-line, you need a MS account, which is free.
Now for the preferences (other may advice you differently). I bought it from Steam, which also requires an account (free of course), but everthing works smoothly and painless there. I wholeheartedly recommend it. And I also recommend the Standard Edition. The sim core is exactly the same as the Deluxe and Premium, and with these you'll be paying a good dough for a bunch of extra planes, which most probably you won't use, once you start buying the 3rd party add-ons you really like.
Don't give up. As I said above, it's worth it.
My new PC doesn't even have a disc drive.
Bad news for me, as I have several CD-ROMS I can't play anymore. But much like radio and TV, streaming services and downloads are becoming the norm...

Hi all. I have A320 fbw development constantly updated. ILS procedure done many times with different weather, routes and airports. Final stages LOC on and APR on and all goes well. Diamonds showing correctly etc. Now since yesterday's (Wednesday's) update, for some reason loc and apr switches will not stay on together, only one will stay switched on and only one or the other will work. Any help or advice welcome and I would very much like to know if others experiencing the same.
Thanks, Roy
Been that way for me for awhile. Once I'm on the localizer, I watch the right side; once that diamond is lined up, I engage Approach. Just something I got used to since way back when,.

So far so good. I found a profile to make my jetways work at KLAS FlyTampa airport and now I’m content.
I had this program in FSX so I’m aware of its addition to realism.
-
Duh me. I installed the MS Store version instead of the Steam version.
got it working now.
-
Yes, I start the Coatl as you show. Nothing.
-
Anyone have this? I bought the full version and installed it. Shows it's installed and active. However, in game, it's not in the content manager nor the tool bar, as if it doesn't exist, so of course, it's nowhere in the sim itself.
I have the MS Store version of MSFS. The program installed into the add on manager which is located in program files x86. I've no idea what's going on. I posted at FSDT's forums but so far, no response. I'm almost ready to get a refund. I shouldn't have to have a degree in IT to install this damn thing.

I have a similar issue with the Flybywire A320. I'll be at 33,000 ft and ATC tells me to descend and maintain 2,000 just 25 or so NM from final. Unless I break the speed threshold and hit the "expedite" button, there's no way to do that.
I saw a YouTube video on how to calculate the begin descent distance, but it doesn't always work out so well.
Now, I do like you do, and just request descent altitudes on my own.
-
Standard. It's what I played during the $1 trial. Didn't want to risk taxing my new system.
Flightsim.com was my favorite web destination back in the FS9/FSX day.

Doesn't bother me at all. Everyone has their favorites. Personally I think MSFS 2020 is da bomb, but I'd never insult those who think otherwise..
