  1. Found one in the library here, search for af17478ssp.zip it's a complete download of the SkySpirit2011 B747-8I model, to find it in the library, log in, click on the "Library" tab at the top of the page, select "Search files" and in the "file name" search box enter "af17478ssp.zip".
  2. Definitely not, the FSX 737-800 exterior & interior models are specifically compiled for FSX, also most of the gauges will not work in FS9 & the .dds texture files are not compatible.
  3. When you say "Full" do you mean with the sliders in FSX settings set to their highest? if so that is your problem, there isn't a PC on the market that can handle these settings, FSX is old (2006) and was developed when CPU's were predominately single core, you will need to experiment with the settings until you get something you are happy with, also if you have not got the acceleration efition have you installed SP1 & SP2 updates, these will improve performance.
  4. I also think your initial rate of climb is too high, I can't find the initial rate of climb for the 850 but I did for the 700 which is 2380 ft/min & bearing in mind that the 850's PT6 is limited to 700shp on take-off I would consider that the 850's initial rate of climb would be similar to the 700's.
  5. To be honest I don't know why you are using the Project Opensky Airbus A330 in FSX when there is the Thomas Ruth A330 series which has native FSX models, panel & a good VC. Do a search in the library for toma332b.zip, toma333b-1.zip & toma3mrt.zip.
  6. Looking at your [WEIGHT_AND_BALANCE] the max_gross_weight=355000.000000 is correct for this aircraft & the actual max take-off weight is 355,000 lbs for the DC 8-63F.
  7. Have you considered a reconditioned desktop? You could look for one that can be easily upgraded to a better CPU or GPU in the future.
  8. Had a little break from it over the summer but now that autumn is here will start back on it & as mentioned before it is almost finished apart from the autopilot.
  9. Having read Nels Anderson's review of this aircraft where this problem is not mentioned, then maybe you should consider checking the fuel balance & trimming the aircraft to keep it straight & level because as you have already mentioned this could be the result of prop torque (P-Factor) especially as the P-51D has a Packard V-1650-7 Merlin producing 1315hp.
  10. Could try a system restore to a time before you tried unistalling FSX & start again.
  11. Here is a link to a guide to uninstall & reinstall FSX which may help others.
  12. Gloucestershire Airport which is also the closest airport to me is not equiped with ILS, to find out if airports have ILS while flying in FSX take a look at the map & if an airport has ILS you will see long green arrows protruding from the runways.
  13. As far as I know animating tilting gear bogies can be achieved by use of custom XML coding and animation trickery & does not require any additional contact points in the aircraft.cfg.
  14. The VC entries for the default Learjet 45 panel.cfg are actually [Vcockpit01], [Vcockpit02] & [Vcockpit03] located at the bottom of the panel.cfg file.
  15. Try reducing the aircrafts speed, the overspeed warning is sounding for a reason!
  16. I have downloaded & have had a look, fuselage_1.bmp is the diffuse texture & fuselage_clear.bmp is the specular texture which controls the shine levels of the paint, glass & any metal parts. So you have tried coping the fuselage section from the fuselage_1.bmp onto the fuselage_clear.bmp, try doing it again making sure it lines up perfectly & also attached the alpha channel to the fuselage_clear.bmp.
  17. Do you mean it has the left & right sides of the fuselage on seperate textures & they are both identical? if so then make a copy of the one you have painted & then rename it the same as the other texture you need. Also this is why using a graphics editor that uses of layers makes painting aircraft so much easier, GIMP is a very good freeware graphics editor.
  18. The transparency of glass can be controlled by the alpha channel of the glass texture, black fully transparent & white will make it opaque or during the modelling process the author may have set the transparency of the material (texture) to a particular percentage making it not possible to make the glass fully opaque unless the glass material transparency settings are edited within the model file, if this is the case then you may be able to do this using modelconverterX, but you will not be able to do this if the glass nose uses the same material as the cockpit windows.
  19. Is it an FSX model? the only way a reg no. can be displayed on the exterior model is with a bitmap, does the texture folder include any specular bmp's or dds files for the wings? if so then the reg no. is more than likely being produced from the spec texture. If this is the case and you want to edit it, make sure you check the alpha channel for any reg marks.
  20. The Thomas Ruth A330's come with VC's, just do a search in the library here for Thomas Ruth A330.
  21. I think the problem lies in the window_size= & window_pos=, here's what the SDK says: window_size- The percentage of the screen to be taken up by window, from 0 to 1. If this is set, the size of the main panel is ignored for this panel and size_mm becomes irrelevant for determining the size of the panel window. (size_mm is still used for calculating the relative sizes of the gauges within the window). window_pos- Overrides the position and windowsize_ratio variables. Provide at least an x value, the y value is optional. Try this: //-------------PRIMARY FLIGHT DISPLAY------------------------------- [Window02] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm= 281,353 position=0 visible=0 ident=500 gauge00=A380_PA_Gauges_2D!background, 0,0,281,353 gauge01=A380_PA_Gauges_VC!pfd, 26,26,229,289 gauge02=A380_PA_Gauges_VC!digital_trim, 102,214,130,75
  22. Have you adjusted the window "size_mm=", it should be the same size as the gauge, see below: [Window04] size_mm=450,335 position=2 visible=0 ident=FUEL_PANEL no_luminous=1 gauge00=LR35!LR35_Fuel_Panel, 0,0,450,335
  23. What events & conditions are you talking about?
  24. Yes, the exterior model was compiled using the FSX SP2 SDK so it would be possible to merge the default LR45 VC, I have been working on a VC for the LR35 but it is going to take a lot of work & time to get it up to a decent standard, I have already been working on this aircraft for over 3 years! so I will release the aircraft with a 2D panel only & if I can model the VC to an acceptable standard then I will offer it as an update.
