  1. My main interest, paintwise, is with military aircraft from WW2, so that means mainly prop aircraft. In general, jets don't do a lot for me. But that does not mean that once in while, a jet finds itself in my paint shed, so here are a few militay jets I painted over the years: Me reading Buck Danny made me paint this Crusader: jk5450 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr Staying with comics, Tanguy and Laverdure made me a big fan of the Mirage: jk2055 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr a visit to Singapore made me paint this F-15 jk1359 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr A Fiat G-91 was one of the first plastic models I made as a kid: jk1429 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr Rob Richardson keeps making these great freeware models of aircraft I've never heard of, but they are fun to fly and paint. Here's two Banshees: [jk4773 by JanKees Blom the father of my girlfriend at high school was a former Gloster Meteor pilot, Ã nd gave me my first flight ever in his Harvard. jk7530 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr another one by Rob, the Seahawk: jk8703 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr another one coming from Buck Danny, this Skyhawk: jk4176 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr the F-16, not that interesting as an aircraft for me, but fun to paint jk12113 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr and my current favorite, the (T)F-104, it even looks fast standing still.. jk12784 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr
  2. I've always been a fan of the P-51B, but this model looks a bit simplistic for my taste, and that paintscheme is also not too high on my wishlist. However, there is always the (payware) P-51B by Warbirdsim, made by P-51 guru John Terrell, for which I made quite a few repaints. Here's a few of my favorites: jk9252 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk8914 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr patty166 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr E2106 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr

  7. I do remember them as well, wonderful aircraft. The free version you refer to is the one by Aeroplane Heaven, and I did quite a few paints for it as well: jk7190 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk7016 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk6965 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk6843 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk7301 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr
  8. Well, they only built 75 of them, and they flew in the US (60 with United), Mexico, Canada and Colombia. The RCAF bought 10 in 1940, sold one to the RAF (this one), and the Lufthansa had one. Oh, one in Brazil and one in China. So not really a lot of countries I think?

  19. which I also painted to look like a PR Mx.XIX, complete with camera's: jk3663 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr and finally there's the Safire Mk.47 by Rob Richardson for MFS, the very last family member of the Spitfire family: jk7375 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr and a few more random shots, who doesn't love to see Spitfires? jk3908 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk2486 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk3413 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk4400 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk9883 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk2862 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr jk5591 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr I hope you liked my overview, and enjoyed the screens. 20. Over the years, I've painted quite a few different versions of Supermarines finest, so here's a small overview: For the Spitfire Mk.1 in the WW II fighters version by A2A: FX9394 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr I had just started painting the version above when the Mk.1 Wings of Power version for FSX came out, with a Mk.1 version: jk5841 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr and in MFS we had the Aeroplane Heaven Mk.1a: jk9261 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr the A2A WoP3 model also had two Mk.II versions, the Mk.IIa with machine guns: jk5841 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr and the Mk.IIb with cannons (here painted like a Malta based Mk.V): ss18702 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr I don't recall ever having had a Mk.V (there was talk of an A2A version, but that never materialised), so we jump to the Mk.IX, first the fantastic RealAir Mk.IX for FSX/P3D: jk2851 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr and then the equally fantastic Mk.IX by Flying Iron for MFS: jk3359 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr I painted both to look like a PR Mk.XI: Real Air: jk7516 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr Flying Iron: jk2459 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr RealAir also gave us the brilliant Mx.XIV: jk9849 by JanKees Blom, on Flickr
  21. Joao, I'm not quite sure what you mean? You want to see what the texture files look like? I'm glad you like them though!
