Lining Up for ILS approach into Cote D'Azure

Whenever I fly into this airport the ILS never lines the aircraft up with runway for approach. Is this because of a glitch in the software or something else. This so far is the only airport this happens. :pilot:

let me guess, addon airport, payware, manuf I don't remember.

 

Two days ago someone mentioned this addon which has the ils at a different angle then the runway. Not a fault, but a feature. Also like this in real life I think.

If not that, check the airport in ADE, sometimes it is like this with even the defaults. CYVR Vancouver 8R comes to mind.

I did that flight 2 times this last week and both times I was given 4Left as my approach. It worked perfectly. Did you have to request 4Right?

ILS at rwy 4R is in fact an ILS-NDB, with an offset LLZ.

I just finished another test flight into this airport(default). I was given 4Left approach and then I requested 4R. I was given the side-step. It is a bit screwed up and about 1/2 mile out I dis-engaged AP and AT and did a little S maneuver to hit the runway.

The ILS 4R is offset at the default airport LFMN - Nice Cote-d'Azur.

ILS RW 04L is not offset, and 22L and 22R have no ILS.

ILS heading is 042 as you see, and RW heading is allmost 045 for runway 04R.

 

The runway headings for 4L and 4R are the same. But the ILS headings are different. It may be that FSX sees that as two crossing runways, and opens only one. But I have no idea if that is true.

No, 4R was what the FSX default flight plan indicated and what I'm always given on approach. It's no big deal, I just wondered if it was something I was doing wrong or a glitch somewhere. As you mentioned, to get over it, I disconnect auto pilot and manually fly in. I'll give 4L a go next time.

 

Anyway, how you keeping. :pilot:

Just changed the ILS setting on approach to 109.95 for 4L and it lined me up perfectly.

 

So from now on it's auto pilot for 4L and manual for 4R :pilot:

The only smokin I do is burning a bit of rubber when landing, and I probably don't drink enough......he says......hic :D
