I've been in that area RW when we toured various WWII locales a few years back.  Now I'll have to "fly" there and take a look see.

Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.

I just did that.  Until I "flew" there I couldn't imagine how dense with airports that area is!!  Driving in a car you don't have a clue how many airports there are nearby.  Many of them, like Duxford where there during WWII. 

 

Without today's instruments I can't imagine how British defenders could ever find their home airport among all that throng!

 

Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
