Nice shots and an interesting aircraft (4-engine tail dragger).  Wondering if this was the basis for the German WWII long-range bomber?

I have always loved the clean ascetics of this aircraft. For its day, a real beauty.

And I really like the early direction finder antennas (NDB).

Per wikipedia: "Originally developed by Focke-Wulf as a long-range airliner. A Japanese request for a long-range maritime patrol aircraft led to military versions that saw service with the Luftwaffe as long-range reconnaissance and anti-shipping/maritime patrol bomber aircraft. The Luftwaffe also made extensive use of the Fw 200 as a transport aircraft. It achieved success as a commerce raider until mid-1941,"

I agree!  Having said that, it's obvious those two countries were working together much earlier than most of the world realized.

 

Despite all the drawbacks of its' use.  It is a very interesting and attractive aircraft
