andyjohnston
It wasn't really my intension to continue after the end of the last story, but ok, since someone asked. From LL10 got myself into a little Mooney Acclaim with a glass cockpit. I've never really gotten used to using those, but I flew myself a few miles to the east to New Meigs to refuel, then headed eastward to get back home. Spent way too much time using these sims... andyjohnston
Airport is a freeware of my own creation, Chicago scenery is the free demo of DrZewicki (which I'm sure I spelled wrong) Chicago . Rather than go right home, I decided to make a stop at a field I visit all the time, the add-on HE North. Edited March 31, 2020 by andyjohnston Spent way too much time using these sims... Rupert
I agree, the Chicago scenery is great. But what really caught my eye was the glowing dashboard in the Mooney. Michael Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
andyjohnston
Though it wasn't far to get home, I decided to stay the night. By morning it was pouring rain when I left the building at HE North. I flew back home to the nearest field, and the weather cleared about halfway there. I borrowed a helicopter to get back home. The neighbours hate it when I do that. Spent way too much time using these sims... Rupert
I agree! I'm a fairly close neighbor to our former governor and also to Papa John Schnatter. Both of them commuted by chopper for some time. We finally convinced them they might regret flying so close over our homes. Especially since they both lost their jobs!!! ;) Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
