Downwind66
Another legendary WWII aircraft!! Anyone who subscribes to Netflix, they have a good documentary on the Spitfires! One fine aircraft, but I will always be partial to the P-51's!! They're both in the same class and accomplishments! Nice pic! Thanks for sharing! flightsimg
Fine plane, fine pic! On the other hand, Rick, the Spitfire and the P-51 are not the same epoch at all. The first is related to the Me 109 and the top technology of 1940 (that's what decided Hitler to attack at the time) as the P-51 is from a next-gen technology which allowed Allies to wind (and the German next-gen were the V1, jet engine planes, etc. which Hitler could not fully use; and that gave the man on Moon :):) ) Gérard Guichard, Dijon, Burgundy, France. i5 Intel processor, 4 Go of Ram, Nvidia GeForce 920MX, DirectX 12.0, and FSX Gold Edition with SP1, SP2.
