  1. Try here: https://www.simtours.net/, the only such site I know. (And, no, it's not just you.)
  2. Does your Lydd ILS have associated DME? Not all do. In my P3D/ORBX scenery I have a DME, but that may not be true for you. Have you checked that your Nav 1 shows distance from other VORs?
  3. I can't help with the FSX multiplayer, but I have a suggestion for JoinFS: setting the frame rate to 30 fps should eliminate the jumping. I fly twice a week with a group using JoinFS and it has performed almost flawlessly for us.
  4. Sorry, I thought I found it on Avsim. The only one I can find is a payware version.
  5. Ford Lauderdale Executive scenery: For FSX: https://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=fsx_kfll_rs.zip&CatID=root&Go=Search For P3D: https://library.avsim.net/esearch.php?DLID=203976 A great resource for scenery: https://www.freewarescenery.com/fsx/us.html
  6. Lo siento, no tengo una respuesta para ti, pero tal vez esto te ayude a encontrar a alguien que la tenga: Original message: "Greetings, I'm relatively new to the community. I'm sorry if this message doesn't go here, but I have a problem. I've been getting a notification for months that says I have a private message and I enter my mail area and I don't see it anywhere - - In addition to this, it tells me that I have zero but 1 saved and I search and search for the save folder and I don't see it either and it is annoying to have that notification activated, it is not deleted with anything." ¡Espero que esto ayude!
  7. Just at startup. Also, Steam has an offline mode that negates even that requirement (instructions here: https://www.makeuseof.com/how-to-use-steam-offline-mode/).
  8. Yes, through Steam. I ran that version for several years and it is the best (and most stable) version of FSX I've used.
  9. I don't think you'll find a freeware version. Allegiant repaints are available for the Flight1/QualityWings version, available here in the store for $14.95.
  10. I was there from '75 until last year, so I missed the ferry. Looks like fun!
  11. Oh, alright. I'm surprised no-one else has come up with this already, but I guess having lived there for forty-odd years made it easy for me. 1969 is when the iconic bay bridge was completed. Beautiful shots by the way, Bill. They really capture the SoCal ambience.
  12. It's an option in the ATC menu.
  13. How's this: https://tighar.org/Projects/Earhart/Archives/Documents/Report_487/Report487.pdf
  14. Glad to hear it, and good to know. Let's hope there are no negative side-effects!
  15. I would try reducing propeller beta_min. I'll be interested to know what happens. :)
  16. Another one! A copy of a post from 2014. Is there a point? https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?25103-Were-is-the-thresh-hold-of-the-runway
  17. As Larry said, it's Florida's east coast, near Fort Lauderdale and Miami, a couple of thousand miles closer to Blighty than I was in California.:D
  18. The Alt key should bring it up. If you're in full screen mode, Alt-Enter will change the display to windowed mode.
  19. I think in an effort to appeal to gamers as well as flight sim enthusiasts, Microsoft/Asobo went with a "contemporary" interface that can seem somewhat opaque. Frankly, it annoyed me and, along with many other aspects, dissuaded me from spending time with the program. For something more familiar you should just try Steam's version of FSX. Of course, it won't be as pretty.
  20. . . . and Kevin Bryan for his odd and amazing creations.
  21. I'm surprised no-one's mentioned Tim Conrad yet!
  22. They'll still be "backwards", just not upside-down.
  23. You can find approach plates for US airports on Skyvector.com. Right click on the airport, roll the cursor over the airport name and a drop-down menu will appear.
