Macroburst
Speaking of long distance strategic aircraft, the Grandpa of C5A (B), A400, C-17: The Bristol Britannia was the world’s first long range ‘jet-prop’ airliner. It was developed as part of the drive to re-build Britain’s civil aviation industry after the Second World War when the focus at the Bristol Aeroplane Company had been mainly on bomber production. ColR1948
Ah thanks Jan, fantastic shots there mate, I can't remember what airfield I was at as it was years ago I saw a RAF Brit parked up. I've worked on a Tradewinds CL-44 which was close, had to load it by hand too with heavy Baily Bridges cargo, horrible job. Col.
NMLW
There are a number of nice Bristol Britannia paints in the library here. I've flown several of them. https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/showthread.php?242762-RTW-Retro-Flight-25-Khartoum-to-RAF-Khormasksar-1960&highlight=Khartoum+RAF+Khormasksar Edited November 12, 2019 by NMLW Larry
