Good shots David, I have worked on a few DC-8's, those things were looong, I remember when I forst started working at Manchester and didn't know one aircraft from another.

I thought the name of the aircraft went by size, like the DC-3 then a DC-4, DC-6, DC-7 DC-8 etc, then I was told by my supervisor our next aircraft was a DC-9, well I was expecting a really big aircraft but as you know it is a lot smaller lol.

Thank you! Sounds like you’ve had a lot of experience working on different aircraft :cool: When I was in the Air Force I was introduced to the term “DAC Death Tube” for Douglas aircraft. I’m not sure why the term was coined in the first place or if someone was just being funny :D
