Rupert
Hey Stormer, You're probably giving me nightmares of a RW Connie trip from Alameda to Honolulu! Though it wasn't a MATS Connie. It was an airline, whose name I can't recall at the moment, who chartered it for shipping Marines to Honolulu to continue on to Vietnam on a MATS bird. Not only were we heading over to get shot. But it was also taking us what seemed like half our life to make that one leg of the trip!! :( They even used two flight crews because it took so long!! Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow.
