Fictional FSX Repainted Aircraft - Parking Code Problem

Recommended Posts

Hello Everyone,

This may seem a bit strange, but I have created this fictional airport in the United Kingdom, and it uses the same parking code system as Heathrow’s Terminal 5. Eg, Different parts of the terminal, have different Letters and Gate Numbers - Ie. ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ gates. Anyway, the airport, that I have created, has ‘B’ Gates - Gate Numbers B1-B10. And ‘A’ Gates - A11-A15. The ‘C’ Gates at the airport, are only non-large aircraft spaces, eg, they are just GA parking spots.

Now the problem, I have also created a fictional airline, called Redjet Express, and I would like it to just use, the ‘A’ Gates at the airport. Eg, gates A11-A15. I have already tried to add another ATC Parking Code, such as R3D for example. But FSX just assigns my ‘fictional airline fleet’ to any available parking spot at random. How can I overcome this problem.

I have already managed to keep away, the other airlines that use the airport, away from the ‘A’ Gates, but I cannot seem to be able to make my aircraft fleet use only that part of the airport. The airport has a general main terminal area, like most smaller UK Airports, I would have to say it is probably most like, such as either: Leeds Bradford, Doncaster Sheffield, Durham Tees Valley or Liverpool Airports.

However, the ‘A’ Gates section of the airport, is like the airport area, that you have at airports like Birmingham (UK) - Gates 1-20, or Belfast International Airport (Gates 1-14?). For example, they mostly serve regional or domestic flights only.

Hi there, many thanks for your quick reply, however for some reason, the solution didn’t work for me. It is probably my PC. However, I have now found a way to correct the problem. I am using AIFP 3, and used it’s built in Aircraft Manager, to add parking codes to my selected aircraft, it then displayed the message: ‘Updated Both Aircraft.cfg and Sim.cfg’ That now seems to have solved the problem.
