Guest RobinMalhotra
I'm kind of new to flight sim and thaught that Prepar3d was the most accurate. But it has not good planes without add-on compared to Xplane 11. And it also look much less user friendly. So what would you recommand ? Is there any good free add-on for Prepar or should I take Xplane even if it's a little less life like 6 in one, half dozen in the other. P3D and XP11 are often said to be the best by many, but for different reasons. It depends on what you are looking for. For some, neither of them are considered best. Those that like aerial combat tend to prefer DCS, etc. P3D's jetliners and some of their other mods are very, very good, and are compatible, if not better than what you get in XP11. However, you will be paying for them, big time. They are not cheap. For your needs, it sounds like you are on a budget. Go with XP11. The Zibo 737 (get the Audiobirds soundpack too, also free) and the 737-900ER Ultimate beta (Audiobirds is included) are your best bets for solid freeware in a flight sim. You can do a ton in XP11 without having to spend any money on 3rd party addons. You can make XP11 look great with Ortho4XP, also free. Also, most of the major airports, whether they are the default airports or freeware 3rd party ones, are very much up-to-date thanks to the community. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
ftldave
Talking to yourself is okay. It's when you start answering back that you know there's not enough cards left to make a full deck.

Daniel.T
It's like they say: FlightSim.com forum is the best place to get an answer... More seriously, that still a tough question that we see often, what's the best sim. And I can't help on this one, stick to FSX, it's running fine, thirteen years later. i7-4790K @4400 on Gigabyte Z97X (16gb), GeForce GTX 970 OC, Corsair Spec case Win7 Ult(64) on Samsung850 SSD(256), FSX+Accell on Samsung850 SSD(256), Track IR5 Saitek yoke/rudder radio/multi/switch panels, Logitech G13, GMap on Samsung tab
DominicS
Go to a MSFS site and that series is the best flight simulator...go to an X-Plane centred site...and that's the best sim. At the end of the day...simple enjoy what you use...it doesn't really matter what others think.
