FSX Gold at 225.7 FPS... HOW?

When I first built the computer below (CPU is NOT overclocked and originally had 16gb ram and x2 EVGA Superclocked Titans in SLI). The first thing I installed was FSX Gold and I took a screenshot (Saturday, ‎September ‎06, ‎2014, ‏‎7:51:58 PM) BEFORE installing any add-ons or ANY tweaking of any kind.

225.7 Frames Per Second.jpg

[Honest Abe] The frame rate shows 225.7!!! I DID NOT retouch the picture but did save it as a .jpg and renamed it from the FSX capture number.[/Honest Abe]

Is this typical of a virgin install of FSX? Do you recall what FPS you achieved before add ons?

I notice I did not even install FSUIPC4 yet either because there is no add ons tab showing.

Frame rates now hover around 15~75

Seriously, 1,000,000 FPS zippy...you a bad boy :)

Just wish I knew at what point of my install the frames dropped so much.

Oh, you saw that screenshot, huh?

Probably at the point when you started adding things like AI aircraft and traffic, updated airports, and maybe payware aircraft and scenery.

Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!  ✈️

On a clean install I'll usually see 300+ FPS. But....who cares?
Intel 10700K @ 5.0 Ghz, Asus Maxumus XII Hero MB, Noctua NH-U12A Cooler, Corsair Vengence Pro 32GB 3200Mhz, Geforce RTX 2060 Super GPU, Cooler Master HAF 932 Tower, Thermaltake 1000W Toughpower PSU, Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit, and other good stuff.

Was curious to know what a highly clocked CPU would do with a clean install... so I care, THANK YOU.
