peer01 Posted July 23, 2018 Share Posted July 23, 2018 (edited) Iraqi Airlines was founded in 1946, was operated under the Iraqi Railway Ministry's office of Aviation transportation in the 40's and early 50's. They started with a DH-89, the Vikings and a DH-104 Dove were added to the fleet in 1947. The main routes were taken over by Vickers Viscounts in 1955. The Vikings were used until 1958 when the monarchy was Overthrown. A hot flight over loooooots of sand, from Erbil to Beiruth in Lebanon.
