rjord
Big updates in progress. 1. I am progressing with adding AI traffic to FSX and P3D and have a more accurate timetable to create the flight schedules... creating thr schedule in AI Flight Planner 3 is now more accurate and the arrival times are now within 10 minutes of the actual "live" arrivals. 2. Every airport in Australia will reflect traffic that went to it 12th March 2018 3. As the schedules are added I am creating new textures for the AI 4. By default the sounds of AI in FSX sound like a vacuum cleaner....... this afternoon I am replacing the sounds with a whole new sound set for airbuses and Boeing which are so much better to listen to...... such as taxi, landing and takeoff. 5. All AI have now been fitted with better lights which look much better than stock FSX lighting. 6. Lighting at the airports and on the runways have been enhanced. 7 The addition of new AI schedules for March 12th will take about a month to complete. flightsimg
Hi! A endeavour by itself! :) Don't know much about the AI planes world but maybe a kind of 'open' structure would be fine because, in, say 2 or 3 years, your timetables could be updated. Like said, I'am not a specialist into that but you might check with those who know Gérard Guichard, Dijon, Burgundy, France. i5 Intel processor, 4 Go of Ram, Nvidia GeForce 920MX, DirectX 12.0, and FSX Gold Edition with SP1, SP2. Like said, I'am not a specialist into that but you might check with those who know Yes it would be much easier to use existing AI packages and actually have used Ultimate Traffic 2..... however with UT2 2016 schedule I see issues such as 2 aircraft....Qantas and Virgin Australia........flying side by side in many cases. Qantas flies a 717 and according to UT2 the 717 for Qantas operates under Airlink. Airlink in Australia only has an Air Operator's Certificate for the Beech 1900D, Piper PA31-350, Cessna 310R aircraft and the Piper PA30 Twin Comanche aircraft. They do not have an Operator Certificate for a Boeing 717-23S which fly the Qantas livery today using the Air Operator Cobham Aviation Services OK yes I know it is impossible for UT2 to be completely accurate but I am all too happy to have the aircraft added into the sim with as much correct detail as possible. flightsimg
"into the sim with as much correct detail as possible. " Hi! Thank you for the answer. I personally also am caring about being realistic with my FSX but I found that too much realism brings to a rapid outdating. That's why I was posting that Gérard Guichard, Dijon, Burgundy, France. i5 Intel processor, 4 Go of Ram, Nvidia GeForce 920MX, DirectX 12.0, and FSX Gold Edition with SP1, SP2. rjord
The timetables going into FSX and P3D only reflect the actual timetable for one day and I repeat that every 24 hours. So accuracy is out the window after a day or a week....but that is ok. If I add every single flight across Australia for all airlines flying that day it will take me 6 months to complete this little project. The picture below shows the excel spread sheet timetable I have created in excel for Alliance Airlines. The rows I have highlighted in Orange are the rows where the individual aircraft seen in column G fly to several airports that day. If the aircraft only fly from airports A to B and appears only i one row then it will not be added to FSX and p3d.
rjord
A number of the smaller airports have issues such as larger aircraft sticking through the mddle of fuel stations on the ground. Dash 8s I am sure would be refueled by fuel trucks and not at the station. Little issues like this will be fixed as I find them. Next week I will b replacing the FSX general aviation aircraft with updated aircraft. The picture below shows one of the GA aircraft that will go with Sydney just visible in the difference. il88pp
I'm not too focussed or creative at the moment. Don't have the time unfortunately. Was wondering though, If not too complicated, can you explain how to create the night lighting? (i can use ADE, and object libraries.) is it as easy as placing a light spot object. And a separate lamp post object? And, if that's all there is to it, can you recommend the libraries you are using for that? Thanks. Your work looks very nice. Oh yes. Planes parking in a fuel spot makes me think there may be another .bgl with this same ICAO. Or perhaps the fuel depot was not created as 'fuel' spot but as "parking medium'. (with a fuel library object separately added.). Make sure the spot is not green in Ade. I think fuel spots should show as purple. The lights are from Shockwave Lights Redux which you can buy from A2A Simulations for FSX and FS2004....... http://www.a2asimulations.com/store/shockwavelights/ The forum for how to add lights to other aircraft can be found here https://a2asimulations.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=
rjord
The lights for the nearest aircraft are a little too much...however when you see the flashing light for the aircraft in the distance it looks pretty realistic. They are different lights being used so I will be adding the lighting effect used for the plane in the distance to add to all the aircraft I am adding in my project. il88pp
I meant lightposts at airport. And more specifically, the white light splash that you have to place under that post, to make the aprons show a white light circle. (separate object I think). I thought you might have names of object library for that. No worries if you don't. I should be able to find those once myself too, once I have a little more free time. Thanks for the reply. Happy designing, il. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

il88pp
I probably misinterpreted one of your screenshots. I was thinking of something else, wanted to place as objects with ADE. Found ramplight library I was looking for. Created by: Bill Leaming. (n4gix at Flightsim.com) https://www.fsdeveloper.com/forum/resources/ramp-light-library.52/ thanks, have fun creating, il. This is a freeware addon airport I have, with ramplight objects. Not sure if that's the same objects I gave a link to. -Found another lights object library. FSX - FSX Scenery Objects--Lights! Name: fsx_lts.zip https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?searchid=62581634 Size: 700,730 Date: 05-15-2009 Downloads: 19,776 FSX Scenery Objects--Lights! This is a library of objects aimed at the freeware developer. It's a little bit of everything from single lights to stadium lighting to tarmac lighting. All objects are native FSX and built with Gmax and the SP-2/Acceleration SDK. All lights wash the ground and have a "lit" presentation in addition to the ground wash during the hours between dusk and dawn. By Jim Dhaenens. rjord
With adding all airliner traffic in Australia as of the timetables for 12th March 2018, I have the timetables saved in Excel spreadsheets. Over the next few days I am creating a procedure which will hopefully allow me to update the airlines schedules once a week. This will mean I can add the schedules for Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Australia, etc into FSX on a weekly basis. This will then hopefully allow me to create the compiled traffic for general aviation for every airport in Astralia.
rjord
Tested the procedure of updating Flight time tables on a weekly basis...... It would work as follows: 1. For testing use the major carriers: Qantas, Jetstar, Virgin Australia, Tiger, 2. On Sunday morning pick up timetables from the prior week Sunday through to Saturday This means I can add timetables from landed flight information for every day of the last week. 3. Copy online timetable to Excel 4. Remove cancelled flights from timetables 5. Convert from Excel to text format 6. Import into AI Flight Planner and test for errors 7. Compile BGL traffic file 8. Test in FSX I estimate for adding a week of traffic for the major Australian airlines it would take about an hour a week to have updated traffic schedules every week. This procedure would then be used to create general aviation traffic for every small airport in Australia
rjord
With adding 7 days of air traffic the updates are taking longer to do so it is expected that the schedules are updated once every 6 months or when I know their timetable has been changed. This will give me more time for scenery design and screenshots here. The procedure for adding all Qantas flights across Australia into FSX will be tested later today or tomorrow.
