1redbarron
Is Orbx worth getting for high and fast flyers, or is it only really of any benefit for low and slow flying. :pilot: While I'm here, a hello to Mr Zippy  Windows 7 Home 64bit - 525GB Crucial MX300 SSD - 2TB Master Hard Drive Intel Core i7 4+4 Core 2600K 3.4Ghz 8MB L3 CACHE - ThermalTake Contac29 Cooler 16GB DDR3 2133Mhz Patriot Viper V3 Red Performance/Gaming RAM AMD Radeon HD 7850 2GB PCI-E 3.0 Ready Graphics - GSX - FS Cabin Crew - ASN SP5
mrzippy
Welcome back! Thought maybe you had shuffled off this Mortal Coil! ORBX scenery is great for GA flying at probably no more than 6-8 thousand feet. Much better at even lower altitudes! Don't tell me! Got lost on a trip to the loo and couldn't find your way back. I know how that is! ;) Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
mallcott
FTX Global are merly replacement textures. But much better than default at any altitude IMHO. To get the best benefit, consider the LandClass products as well - North America and Europe OpenLC are available and combined with the FTX Global textures will change the world from ANY altitude. f16jockey_2
Can't say how much time I spend watching the live ACARS map of my flight on my iPad (Google Maps), and comparing it to what I see in the sim from FL300+ (Orbx Global + Vector + FreeMeshX). Keeps surprising me in a positive way. Wim
