No_Inflight_Meal
Here's the thing: I'm trying to get to profile editor of the Nvidia software I downloaded, so that, according to the YT video I saw, I can check to see that those settings match those in Steve's DX10 Fixer. All I did, back at the time of purchase, was install it. I didn't really fiddle with anything. So, I'm trying to reference the the settings in the Nvidia Profile Editor, when I get this Error: At any rate. I click Continue, and instead, of seeing columns and rows filled with information, it's completely blank, therefore, I can't check my FSX settings against Steve's DX10 Fixer settings...I only lost two profiles, that of FSX and FS2004. When I click "See Details"...(Details below) See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** nspector.Common.NvapiException: DRS_EnumApplications failed: NVAPI_INCOMPATIBLE_STRUCT_VERSION at nspector.Common.DrsSettingsServiceBase.GetProfileApplications(IntPtr hSession, IntPtr hProfile) at nspector.Common.DrsSettingsService.c__DisplayClass17_0.b__0(IntPtr hSession) at nspector.Common.DrsSessionScope.DrsSession[T](Func`2 action) at nspector.Common.DrsSettingsServiceBase.DrsSession[T](Func`2 action) at nspector.Common.DrsSettingsService.GetSettingsForProfile(String profileName, SettingViewMode viewMode, List`1& applications) at nspector.frmDrvSettings.RefreshCurrentProfile() at nspector.frmDrvSettings.ChangeCurrentProfile(String profileName) at nspector.frmDrvSettings.cbProfiles_SelectedIndexChanged(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ToolStripItem.RaiseEvent(Object key, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ComboBox.OnSelectedIndexChanged(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.ComboBox.set_SelectedIndex(Int32 value) at System.Windows.Forms.ComboBox.set_Text(String value) at nspector.frmDrvSettings.frmDrvSettings_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnLoad(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.OnCreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl(Boolean fIgnoreVisible) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.CreateControl() at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Form.WmShowWindow(Message& m) at nspector.frmDrvSettings.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.1076.0 built by: NETFXREL3STAGE CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework64/v4.0.30319/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- nvidiaProfileInspector Assembly Version: 2.1.2.0 Win32 Version: 2.1.2.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/Users/David/Desktop/Extract%20Temp%20Folders/Nvidia%20Inspector%201.9.7.6/nvidiaProfileInspector.exe ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.1055.0 built by: NETFXREL2 CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.1075.0 built by: NETFXREL3STAGE CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.1068.2 built by: NETFXREL3STAGE CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Xml Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.1067.0 built by: NETFXREL3STAGE CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Configuration Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.1055.0 built by: NETFXREL2 CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Configuration/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Configuration.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Core Assembly Version: 4.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.1055.0 built by: NETFXREL2 CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Core/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Core.dll ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.GeneratedCode Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 4.6.1067.0 built by: NETFXREL3STAGE CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.Net/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Xml/v4.0_4.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Xml.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. evm
Which software are you using exactly? Is this the "Nvidia Inspector" by "Orbmu2k"? The error message suggests that the tool cannot read the profiles from your Nvidia GPU driver because either one is outdated (tool or driver or both). So I guess first both have to be updated to their respective latest versions.
No_Inflight_Meal
Yeah, "Nvidia Inspector" by "Orbmu2k". That one works as promised. The other exe contained in the download, is Nvidia Profile Editor - that's the one that is causing the error and the one I need to work apparently to match those settings, in NPE, to those in Steve's DX10 Scenery Fixer, which was never really configured, because I wasn't completely sure what was required, to that end, so itwas only installed, a-way back, and left all the settings as they were. mrzippy
Have you tried setting up the NVidia Control Panel FSX profile? I use that because my Nvidia card is older. Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
No_Inflight_Meal
Where is the NVidia Control Panel you talk about? I've never head of it before, or the profile to setup in FSX...
No_Inflight_Meal
I updated the driver of the VC for the first time since 2010, and now it's working. Thanks. No_Inflight_Meal?
mallcott
Current Nvidia Inspector version is 1.9.7.
mallcott
Current version of Nvidia Profile Inspector is 2.1.2.0 Unless you know what software you are ACTUALLY talking about (you mention both) and understand the difference between them, I would be vary wary of updating anything.
