    FSX Tutorial--Syracuse To New York La Guardia. Here is a tutorial that can also be a very busy, 60 minute flight from Syracuse to New York's LaGuardia. It is a tutorial on Arrival Charts and how to interpret them. This one uses the HAARP THREE ARRIVAL to KLGA. In this short time, you will use eight VORs and even more checkpoints in the infamous zigzag approach to land on runway 22. The tutorial flight is VFR, but you must rely heavily on your instruments due to extreme traffic and other congestion in the New York area. Once you have mastered the tutorial, you can fly the IFR mode in IMC conditions with visibility less than 2 miles. In this mission you will be flying the King Air 350. If you can master this approach, then you will be ready for a full instrument approach for most any airport. Includes goals, reward and feedback to the user as to how well you do on each flight. As the Home page in FSX:SE itself directed to the old Fsxinsider webpage address and was not found. The file inside of this zip folder replaces the old one and I have included the original file as well, for backup purposes. Readme is included and is an easy copy and paste gshome.spb which belongs in the Dialogs folder, which is in the main FSX folder. It works for FSX: Steam Edition only. Eyes to the skies!     FSX/Prepar3D McCoy Water Landing Effect v4. McCoy Water Landing Effect v4 for both FSX and P3D v4. These effects are individually assigned to a specific aircraft or boat overriding both FSX and P3D's default wake. Five effects of various sizes are included. Visually v4 looks a lot like v3.2 but some improvements have been made such as a compatibility fix of surface decals and airborne particles when subjected to wind, re-direction and velocity adjustments of the splash effect, a greatly simplified installation for P3D v4 and the first update for FSX since v2.0. A short video is included to demonstrate each size. Although intended for aircraft these effects can be used on boats 38 feet or smaller. Sound file included by Vince McCoy.

    FSX Locator For Henrik Nielson's Global AI Ship Traffic as of July 20. This is a program that can help you find the many vessels in Henrik Nielsens' wonderful "Global A.I. Ship Traffic" (GLOBAL_AI_SHIP_TRAFFIC_V1.ZIP). It covers the latest version 2 and all updates up to July 2017. It displays the routes on Google Earth, the route number and a list of the ships that can be found on that route. There is a separate file containing their departure and arrival times on each of the routes, with instructions on how you can locate them. There is also a full list of the names and types of all the ships that are in the program. For best results I recommend using my program with the "Little Navmap" program. Little Navmap displays all the AI ships and more in an approximate forty mile area around your aircraft. It is a navigation program all by its self.     FSX Acceleration Service Pack. Service pack Update for FSX Acceleration. This is an update for FSX that some people may be unaware they need. It contains an .exe file that will install a missing portion of service pack 1 that was left out of Acceleration. The .dll file in the other folder may be needed for those who have FSX crash when accessing menus; or as happened to me, needed to be there so FSX Acceleration did not crash early each session while running under Windows 8.1. The SP1 update also makes it possible to see carriers in Acceleration that otherwise would not be able to be seen. These files are on the internet for anyone to download, but I don't remember coming across an update like this to bring peoples attention to them. By Bob Chicilo.
