Rnglgdj
Got this plane and when I bring it up, it shows about 5 feet above the surface and then crashes. Where do I make the adjustment in cfg to correct this?? Thanks Don
mrzippy
[contact_points] would be a good starting point! Maybe find an aircraft that is similar looking and use the contact points from it to see if it make a change to the Kawasaki's position. tgibson_new
The position at loading is controlled by the two "static" lines in the Contact Points. Start there. Tom Gibson CalClassic Propliner Page: http://www.calclassic.com
napamule2
Chage the height: static_cg_height = 9.9 to static_cg_height = 3.9 That should do it. Also turn off crash detection. You don't need that (ie: headaches). Chuck B Napamule i7 2600K @ 3.4 Ghz (Turbo-Boost to 3.877 Ghz), Asus P8H67 Pro, Super Talent 8 Gb DDR3/1333 Dual Channel, XFX Radeon R7-360B 2Gb DDR5, Corsair 650 W PSU, Dell 23 in (2048x1152), Windows7 Pro 64 bit, MS Sidewinder Precision 2 Joy, Logitech K-360 wireless KB & Mouse, Targus PAUK10U USB Keypad for Throttle (F1 to F4)/Spoiler/Tailhook/Wing Fold/Pitch Trim/Parking Brake/Snap to 2D Panel/View Change. Rnglgdj
Still w orking on it. Changing the 9.9 3.9 didn't fix it. With all the down loads of this model I can't believe I am the only one with problems!!!!!!!
GKKnupper
hi Sir, this "fix" about STATIC_Height alone will NOT do. I looked at the planes dimension ...... OMG what a disaster !! Everything what can be wrong is WRONG. Sorry, I do not have time right now to fix it for you this week. The air file is absolutely "fantastic" as well. IF you can wait I will fix it for you. Rnglgdj
I meant the 1600 people that downloaded it. Would they not have the same problem?????? The plane flies good it just crashed on the ground when I selected it.
GKKnupper
hi Sir, the NEW FDE is ready. Plane flies at Top Speed of 310 kts, T.O. is @ 78 kts, Landing Approach @ 105 kts. Please send me a private message with your email so I can send you the FDE ZIP file (CFG & AIR) Thank you very much Sincerely G. defaid
And I meant that if you'd corrected the hover & crash by using modified Mosquito contact points and if otherwise it 'flies good' then there was no need to alter anything in the air file... GKKnupper
@defaid Sir, you wrote: "otherwise it 'flies good' then there was no need to alter anything in the air file" this is a pretty BROAD assumption !! T.O. Speed and Distance Landing Speed and distance Turns Airborne Climb Performance Over-Reving the Engine WRONG Propeller Size etc OMG Sincerely G. defaid
You're very fond of CAPITALS and OMG!!!!!!! FS9 is a game: "Flies good" can only mean that the player is happy with the handling, in which case there's no need for further tweaking.
GKKnupper
hi, some people think they know and some people know , that is the difference in live.
