Boodles
I was surprised to see my home in San Francisco change from photorealistic to generic after the last update. Why and how is this better? this is going the wrong direction, imho. Anyone else notice the problem?
dogdish
If MSFS can't load scenery on-line, will change your settings to off-line. Mine turned off right after updating (A dialog box popped-up) for some reason (Glitch?), so I turned the settings back on. Now back to normal. Check your settings. shb7
I've noticed that too. Some scenery looks FSXish. Maybe I have to check my settings.
Boodles
Thanks dogdish. Settings showed online, but Bing was turned off. All is good again.
shb7
Good thing you started this thread boodles. Otherwise I would have been flying for 5 years wondering why my scenery didn't look as good as the videos. My bing scenery was turned off too. Mac6737
Thanks dogdish. Settings showed online, but Bing was turned off. All is good again. I don't have this problem -- yet. So how on earth do you turn Bing on and off? Mac6737

Do you have an Nvidia GPU with the GeForce Experience installed? It has an option to automatically optimize games, and when I checked on my system, it wanted to disable the streaming scenery as part of this. dogdish
I stopped using GeForce Experience when they required registering. However I made a few Windows and Geforce driver settings recommended by JayzTwoCents here... Maybe this also was reason for settings changing in MSFS?
