FSXFan987
How do I get the TDS 737-800 and the 900 without using facebook? I know its on the group, but I don't have an account.
Founder Nels_Anderson Posted August 10, 2018 Founder Share Posted August 10, 2018 Are you aware that we have a file library right here at FlightSim.Com? I believe we have those base packages in our file library.
mrzippy
Looking in the file library I am finding only FS2004 TDS 737-900 base packages, so far. FSX 737-900, if a whole aircraft, will be FS2004/FSX. Did TDS come up with a native FSX only version? Same with the TDS 737-800. Edited August 10, 2018 by mrzippy Still thinking about a new flightsim only computer!
dogdish
The FSX model update files (example IH50) are necessary to get the lights working correctly. I have not seen them anywhere except TDS Bookface. You don't have to join the TDS page, just open a account with Bookface with minimal information, get the files then close the account again. I saved all the files but don't have the rights to upload them or I would. dogdish
I don't know how to do that. A aircraft folder would have following subfolders... Model Panel Sound Texture When you get a updated model file (file ends in .mdl), you would simply replace it in the Model folder above. All there is to it. dogdish
I looked up the latest FSX updated model files listed at TDS Facebook... 737-800 FSX_TDS738_CFM56-7BE--LP2W3_IH53.zip FSX_TDS738_CFM56-7BE--LP2W2_IH53.zip 737-900 FSX_TDS739ER_CFM56-7BE--LP2W3_IH56.zip FSX_TDS739ER_CFM56-7BE--LP2W2_IH56.zip Just don't get the MAX 7,8, or 9 for the standard 737's or vice versa For a beginner, you should pick a base package from the FlightSim library and install it. You will find there is no Virtual Cockpit. To get one, look up 737 VC merge and you will find instructions in the FlightSim Forum to use the default FSX 737 VC. Then you will find some of the lights don't work. That's when you get the above mentioned FSX update models to fix it. Or just BUY a ready to fly PMDG 737NGX -800/900 for $69.99 :) Edited August 11, 2018 by dogdish Gigabyte GA-X99 Gaming G1, i7-5960X, Noctua NH-D14, Crucial Ballistix Elite 64Gb, Nvidia GTX Titan X, Creative ZxR, Ableconn PEXM2-130, WD Black SN750 250Gb & 2Tb NVMe/Gold 10Tb HDD, Sony BDU-X10S BD-ROM, PC Power & Cooling 1200w, Cosmos C700M, Noctua iPPC 140mm x6, Logitech M570/K800, WinX64 7 Ultimate/10 Pro

I even run them in my P3D V4 without issue. :) Love my TDS!!!!!

dogdish
AFAIK, TDS NEVER released "Native" FSX base packages, only FS9. What they DID do is port them over to FSX with the above mentioned model folder updates. You can also find ported aircraft.cfg and .air files. This does have the advantage of being able to use any FS9 repaint with FSX simply by replacing the model folder files. You will find a few user provided FSX repaints that they updated with the FSX model files themselves.
