I have wondered why any airport would be called McCarren, Reid, Eisenhower, Reagan, Bowman, or LaGuardia. Is it just another attempt to get taxpayer's funds?? When I was flying we used the airport codes and didn't worry about the ever changing airport names. Michael Being an old chopper guy I usually fly low and slow. Turns out they found out he said some racist things back in the 60's(Didn't everybody then!?)so they demanded the change. Harry Reid was chosen as he was a long time senator from here and he championed the name change cause. Without getting too political, I'll just say I was against the entire name change idea, as I disliked Senator Reid and I thought the reasoning was lame...
