Nice shot - can't go wrong with a Connie Rick :cool::pilot:. Not the fastest for sure but I think cruises at a respectable 300 kts TAS.

 

Brings back the days when airline seats were comfortable and you got dressed up to go on a flight!

Glad you're enjoying your Connie Rick. Back in the day the ride was enjoyable and people were more relaxed and much less irritable. No fighting over space in the overhead racks either! :D

Bill - You might be gettting a respectable 300 kts TAS from your 1049 Super Conni, but I have the 049A getting 210 KIAS Indicated, 22" MP 3300 RPM, which I thought was respectable, but you'll be passing me for sure, Say Hello when you do!:rolleyes:

That Connie was my first ride in 1961. :D

my first ride was something completely different, and much later, but I did see a Constellation fly not too long ago, beautiful aircraft!
