Down to the Tropical Sun

Recommended Posts

Here are some shots of a great new paint for the FS2020 Beech18 by Paul Teisco. Here's what Paul had of say about the background for this paint:

"If you want a worn, weather beaten military Beech 18 this is for you. So the story I made up goes like - a couple guys in a tropical dive bar after a handful of margaritas decided to buy an old bone yard Army Beech 18 and fly the islands. Sounds like a plan so give it a try."

Sounds like a plan for sure! Bumming around the Caribbean in a battered old Beech. What could be more fun? Reminds me of the lyrics from the old Jimmy Buffett song "Banana Republic":

"Down to the Banana Republic

Down to the tropical sun

Go the expatriated Americans

Looking to find some fun

Spending those renegade pesos

On a bottle of rum and a lime"

Should we spend some of our renegade pesos on this airplane, leave it all behind, and take off with a bottle of rum and a lime? Before we have to board our Delta flight back to home and the ratrace let's take a look at it in the tropical sun on the tarmac here in Belize and see.
