I am wondering if using a powered USB hub makes a difference with the power that the yoke, throttle quadrant, peddals, etc. draws?

You can check your input device amperage draw in their specification sheets. You will find them drawing minuscule amps in most cases unless they have force feedback motors. Most USB ports will supply at least one amp which is enough for all three.

Having said that, I use a ORICO A3H4-V1 4 port powered hub with a 2 amp power supply more for convenience of having the ports right up front and a power button.
