MLS53
Does anyone have issues with airliners climbing and maintaining designated altitude holds during IFR flights and then ATC continually says please climb and maintain 37,000 feet and the only way to fix this is to turn off Auto mode and physically adjust the plane to reach the desired altitude. or am I doing something wrong? floundy
Sounds to me like you need to reset your barometric pressure..is it 300 ft above and below?....For example..Such n such 11 you are 300ft below your assigned altitude please climb and maintain 37,000 t? jf1450
@floundy is on to it. At and above 18,000' (FL 180) the altimeter needs to be set to 29.92 Hg. When descending below FL 180 reset it to the actual barometric pressure.
