Radio Towers/NDB

Recommended Posts

A while ago, someone posted about a mod in which it made radio towers (possible NDB) to be visible while in the air.

Can someone point me to that mod? I've tried looking for it on Flightsim.to to no avail.

It's called We Love VFR, it's on flightsim.to and it's free.

Just FYI, I exclude NDB, ILS and similar antennas if they are marked as such in OSM. Hopefully one day I'll get to adding them properly, by extrecting data from MSFS. On the other hand, VOR antennas I've checked were all over the place. For example some in Antarctica that were in MSFS, were not there at all in real life. Will have to investigate it further.

What is OSM?

I think OSM in this case stands for Ordinance Survey Maps as used in the UK.

Yeah, I meant OpenStreetMap. My add-on relies mostly on it, but I'm incorporating more and more external data like FAA and such.

I excluded antennas that had any tags connected to airports to avoid conflicts with custom sceneries and avoid causing some stupid errors. In one version I had 10 antennas just next to the runway at Dublin airport, because of misinterpreted data 😁
