a-baum
Really want to 'graduate' from the 152 and get into other aircraft with instruments but I just have no idea how to use them. I feel that going through the 152 training taught me things about real flying and I want that experience with instruments as well. Navigation specifically, and also radio usage. Where can I find out how to use this stuff?

Its called Microsoft Flight Simulator X for pilots, Real world Training. Written by Jeff Van West and Kevin Lane-cummings. ftldave
The Microsoft Flight Simulator X For Pilots book should be on the bookshelf for everyone who wants to move past the game-play level of flight sim, a great book no matter what simulator you fly. Otherwise, YouTube is your friend - lots of tutorials on Instrument Flying Rules and how instruments work.
data65
There are also tons of youtube videos on the subject. I love that people are in the forums that have never owned a flight sim before! It's nice to see our community getting new blood for the first time in a long time! Welcome aboard!
lnuss
In addition to the sources mentioned above, you can read FAA publications online for free. https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/ has many FAA handbooks and manuals that can teach you a lot, including the Airplane Flying Handbook https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/airplane_handbook/, the Instrument Flying Handbook (PDF), the Instrument Procedures Handbook https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/instrument_procedures_handbook/, the Pilot's Handbook of Aeronautical Knowledge https://www.faa.gov/regulations_policies/handbooks_manuals/aviation/phak/ and more. You can also take the instrument rating lessons in FSX or FS2004, if you have one of those. Larry N. As Skylab would say: Remember: Aviation is NOT an exact Science! Odd Cosine
This site is quite outdated sim-wise, but has a lot of good info on instrument navigation: http://navfltsm.addr.com/index.htm You can get current VFR and IFR digital charts for the US from the FAA site, as the ones on that site are outdated: https://www.faa.gov/air_traffic/flight_info/aeronav/digital_products/
