Smile Journeys up the Boot: Bari, Puglia

For all you non-Italians the city is Bari (baa ree) and the province is Puglia (poo lee a). Here endeth the lesson.

Continuing on from last time I fly from Lamezia in Catania across Basilicata, carefully avoiding the large military exclusion zone.
I make an eventual landing at Bari's Palese airport. The aircraft is a (Carenado) Caravan painted in what seems to be a Beatle's Yellow Submarine scheme? Not having enough Italian registered planes I had to borrow from our Spanish cousins. Por nada. -- Bob

Good one, just shows what a difference a texture can make, I've never been that keen on the Caravan but you made it look a lot nicer.

Like that destination! Bari, I've a good memory of that city. People in the beach area were friendly! Like

    Nice pics.

The Cessna Caravan EC-IRV belongs to Institut Cartografic de Catalunya (Spain). Is an aerial photography aircraft as you can see the holes for the cameras in this picture.
