Saitek Pro yoke always in slight left bank

For those of you who may have the Saitek Pro yoke system... is there a way to correct for a constant left leaning bank?

I assume it will involve adjusting the mechanical linkage inside the unit but what to make sure it is even possible.

!

Ths is unlikely to be mechanical. There is a well-known calibration bug with this yoke that you can temporarily fix by wiping out some registry entries. Look here for the fix.

Thanks!

Are you even sure this is caused by the Yoke? It might be a complexity of the aircraft model.

What aircraft? What are your settings?

It could be un-related to the yoke.

If you have some right rudder trim set during a flight your plane will constantly be pushed into a right hand bank. It would also be turning right and going off course.

When flying manually you would just make slight corrections to the left manually. Such small corrections that you might not even notice.

But when flying on autopilot with a straight course set, the autopilot would be doing the correcting to the left for you. The result is a left hand bank (while still flying in a straight line to your destination!).

(The autopilot doesn't simply set the rudder trim to the center position, the right trim is still there. Instead the autopilot corrects by using aeleron-trim.).

-------------------

If you have one of your own flights saved 'as startup flight' then settings in that flight will get inherited by every flight you do.

So if your "personal startup flight" is a 737 flight with right rudder trim set, and you select a different aircraft to fly today (say Beech Baron), then when you click "Fly Now" your Baron will be loaded with Right Rudder trim set as well.

You can assign a key to the command: Rudder Trim (Center).

Assign a key to that in "keyboard shortcuts".

Then center your rudder trim before flying next flight. (Before engaging the autopilot.)

(there is also a command "aelerons (center)"

------

you can also reset the startup flight to the default flight that came with fsx (Ultralight over Friday Harbour).

To do that:

Close fsx first

open the fsx.cfg file

find line:

situation='path and filename'

change that line to:

situation=

close and save the fsx.cfg file

now start fsx

--

you will see the startup flight is ultralight friday harbor. (has all controls centered).

(Fsx puts the correct path and filename back in the fsx.cfg file for you. No worries there.)

Cool Runnings!

Another possible cause is a fuel imbalance. If the left and right fuel tanks have unequal quantities when you start your flight, that may cause a slight turning tendency.

Nothing comes up when I search for either of these files. Do you know what folder they should be in?

I have a Cessna 152 loaded.
